The Republicans used impeachment to hector Bill Clinton, to distract him from accomplishing his agenda. I doubt they ever believed they had a real chance to eject him fromt he presidency. They did it to keep him distracted and dysfunctional.

With three years to go, Bush and his Republican majority have a frightening potential to do damage to the US and the world. Impeachment threats and hearings and a continuous barrage of accusations have the potential of keeping him busy putting out fires, pulling off the alligators biting at his butt. It doesn't matter whether the impeachment achieves his removal. The stages will be a massive tool to keep Bush and his allies from doing further damage.

The rats are sensing that the ship is sinking. The power of the alternative media has made a major difference. Tell your Democratic Legislator it's time to start talking impeachment.
