There is only one reason these systems are not employed...they eliminate immoral profits from the prison system.Regardless of your thoughts about any particular prisoner or his or her crime, the issue is about families on the outside who have committed no offense, being forced to foot the bill to states to talked to their loved ones. Regardless of your thoughts about these prisoners, why support a system of greed that actually encourages recidivism?
Tell Congress to empower and direct FCC to regulate prison phone calls so that states are not allowed to reap windfall hidden taxes levied only on the poorest families who's only offense was to love someone in prison.
