Subtitled an "Open Letter to Matthew McConaughey via the GQ Interview", this opinion piece asks the famous actor why he defends the Washington Reds@i@s keeping their name and mascot in this magazine interview. Why was McConaughey a fan of the Washington NFL team then and why is he now? Weren't the Dallas Cowboys and the (then) Houston Oilers fabulous NFL teams when McConaughey was a youth?

"When you're four years old, that's all it takes. I got a Redskins hat in my bag right now," the actor says in the interview. And the 'modern indigenous concepts, philosophies and a statement of war against colonialism' blog essayist can't help but ask, "But you're not four years old anymore. Grow the eff up."
