I interview Chris Hedges about his latest thinking, covering AIPAC, OWS, Arab Spring, the 2012 Elections, Obama, activism and what YOU should do the next few months.
Chris Hedges, a senior fellow at the Nation Institute and Truthdig columnist, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and journalist. His books include such bestsellers asEmpire of IllusionDeath of the Liberal Class  and the National Book Award-nominated War Is a Force that Gives Us Meaning. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey.

Here are some very brief, incomplete notes--- a few quotes and some of the questions I asked.

We celebrate the very figures who are plunging us over the cliff.

Chris has a new book coming out.

Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt

book

Rob: Are there any forms of capitalism that are tolerable?

Rob: What's your take on AIPAC?

Rob: How are Cheney's interests aligned with AIPAC?

The Arab spring has not gone exactly as we expected. What's your take on it, including Libya and Syria?

Rob: Occupy Wall Street ?

Rob: What would you say to people who voted for Obama in the last election?

Chris: any voting at this point has to be obstructionist-- you vote for green party, you vote for Rocky Anderson, or none of the above.

What are you going to do in the next few months?

Rob: What gives you hope?

Chris "Hope comes from the capacity to stand up and resist."

Chris: The most important thing to maintain hope is never to fight for the abstract.

Rob: How do people maintain contact with the oppressed?

Rob: What would you like to tell listeners to do in the next couple months to make a difference?

Rob: Any advice on how people can get started?
