Yet US Air Force Recruiting spokeswoman Leslie Brown stated, "I can't stress enough, we're not lowering our standards". How can an official recruiting spokeswoman go on record completely contradicting the new recruiting standards by saying we're not lowering our standards?

Apparently the US military is having difficulty meeting its recruiting goals so it's easing those struggles by allowing obese people previously ineligible to enlist.

Yet here was US Air Force Recruiting spokeswoman Leslie Brown stating, "I can't stress enough, we are not lowering our standards".

I have to admit that statement caused a double take. Is she serious?

How is it possible an official US military recruiting spokeswoman goes on record by completely contradicting the new recruiting standards by saying we're not lowering our standards.

I know dissembling, contradictory comments by US officials over its policies and actions is par for the course nowadays.

Think about it. We invade and occupy Iraq beginning in March 2003 being told Saddam Hussein has WMD, is aligned with Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda that allegedly brought down the World Trade Center building on 9/11.

But the facts were these: Saddam had no WMD as former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter stated unequivocally in multiple interviews well before "Dubya" invaded . All of Saddam's WMD was destroyed in the 1990's by Ritter's team of inspectors. Saddam and bin Laden were mortal enemies hardly in league with each other and there's never been a shred of evidence Saddam was connected to the events of 9/11.

Remember we were told by US officials we're going to bring "freedom and democracy" to countries we invade and occupy. Yet reality clearly indicates we were killing thousands of innocents even in wedding parties and funeral processions, engaged in the torture of suspects in Abu Ghraib while engaging in extraordinary rendition pulling suspects off the streets all over the world, to say nothing of the Wikileaks video showing a US military helicopter gunship in Iraq showing a Reuters reporter and other innocents being gunned down as they were helping those previously injured from the gunships blasts.

The US contradicts what it says by the actions it takes and vice versa.

There is a video of World Trade Center Building 7 shown falling in free fall on its footprint. We were told it fell because of fires yet no steel framed high rise building ever collapsed by fire which could never reach a high enough temperature to bring one down. Only buildings that have been brought down in controlled demolition-as shown in Las Vegas when a casino is brought down-as evidenced by what happened with Building 7.

It's gotten so bad the lies put forth by officials are so absurd they're completely beyond belief.

As a citizen of this lamentable country who refuses to allow himself the indignity of believing "official" claptrap particularly when it's clear they'll resort to saying anything to avoid telling the truth.

Sometimes there's the sense of living in a parallel universe apart from the one depicted in our corporate MSM and the official pronouncements from government "officials".

Then there's the Trump ongoing saga of him being indicted in New York, him pleading innocence then rousing his supporters decrying the indictment in a speech once he got back to Florida. That wouldn't make for B-rated movie much less than the circus we're about to be in for.

How could you make this up? You can't. Only Forrest Gump could make sense of it. How did he say it, "Stupid is as stupid does".
