Moonshot: Ten Ideas To Save This Frickin' World
By Kevin Marley
We can launch a moonshot: Ten Ideas to Save This Frickin' Planet. The only things we need to do are: 1) Withdraw the power that we give government on a daily basis peacefully and intelligently; and 2) Use our Newfound Political Will. A Jeffersonian Idea!

Moonshot: Ten Ideas to Save This Frickin' World
Right now, we could be making better headway in terms of saving ourselves and the entire planet. Even Bill Gates agrees with this assessment. Therefore, here are ten ideas that would immediately bring some tangible benefit to our various crises.
This delicious homemade recipe, like only your mother could bake back in your heyday, lacks only one essential ingredient: Political WIll.
Ten!
First, the CEO's of Coke, Pepsi, and the myriad others of soft drink companies that produce bottled, plastic, glass or cartoned drinks should come together to create universal dispensers and containers. Obviously, with various technologies, we could make these commercial containers non-breakable and even very well designed, and use nanotechnology for packaging.
The only question is: Will corporate leaders forget the so-called (false) bottom line and will politicians assert their bipartisan political will in these areas?
Nine!
Next, since America produces 292 million tons of garbage a year, we should also look at creating products and services, not from cradle-to- grave, but from cradle-to-cradle. Essentially, Walter Stahelcreated the conceptualization of the Circular Economy in the 1970's, and in 2010, The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute was formed. Right now, we have about 159 companies moving in this important direction.
Why not more?
Eight!
After this, we have American capitalism which has degenerated into a corrupt marriage between politicians and Fortune 500 businesses with many reported betrayals and still births. In essence, over the past 40 years, since President Reagan's term in office we have become a Corporate Oligarchy that shows no sign of abating. When we look at statistics from 1978 to 2020 we realize that CEO compensation has risen 1,322% compared to workers' wages. We need to correct this and perhaps, two ways are to obviously increase workers' pay and benefits and to have workers own 25% - 50% of the company that semi-annually are paid in stock dividends.
Essentially, politicians from both sides need to be honest and admit that capitalism needs to be overhauled to protect not just the environment but workers and our communities, as well. We live in a very materialistic society that has tragically valued products, services and profits over human health and general prosperity, and the world itself.
Pheww!
The migration crises in both Europe and on America's southern border were entirely predictable, and they will accentuate in seriousness, almost exponentially, in the next twenty years as we will have a significant number of failed states in South America, Africa, and then Asia.Obviously, due to everyday constraints, tens and hundreds of millions of people won't be able to migrate to other countries.
So what should we do?
Seven!
Europe, America and India and China should constructdeployable and practical modules politically, economically, and socially, so that failed states can be revived and so that they can govern in both a competent and ethical manner. In order to facilitate this process, we should form regional governments (more like, loose confederacies) where every country signs bilateral non-aggression pacts with every country within that region; and after that, they plan on sharing important resources such as food, water, energy, various technologies, etc. if they are needed.
Europe, America, China and India can export jobs, 3-D technology for printing houses and schools, medicines, viable Internet education and degrees, and more.
Six!
With a reinvented capitalism, we would also need to create viable forms of socialism. Every human being should have adequate shelter, food, medical assistance, and education and training. For many decades, we have been caught between a relatively low levelr esponse and a harsh and untenable response that people should just pull themselves up by their suspenders or take the bull by the horns.
Ouch!
Five!
But now, if we have a wise interdisciplinary approach, we can create a Science and Art of Human Development where people will live 200-150 years by regrowing their organs and by genetic editing, and other new pieces of knowledge. Through Deep Brain Stimulation, we will be able to eventually cure many forms of mental health issues and even eliminate depression/anxiety in twenty years or so; and who knows, maybe even cure mental retardation?
Four!
By combining what was, admittedly, a low level response to helping others with a Science and Art of Human Development, people will be able to self-actualize when 6,7,8,9, and then 10% of their brain cells are activated which is not a fairy tale but a scientific fact.
Three!
This obviously leads to the very basic observation that The Body Politic is and has been overly programmed, irrational, excessively manipulated, and even very sick. By pursuing these things and endeavors, we can have a very healthy, intelligent and logical and rational Body Politic in 20-30 years.
Two!
We should focus on launching a new Moon Shot and those that are, unfortunately, entrenched in 19th and 20th-century politics should immediately step aside. In a sense, our car or bus is broken down with three flat tires, faulty spark plugs, a dirty air filter, a broken carburetor, and other engine troubles.
One!
What we need to do is to eschew idiosyncratic political ideologies and thoroughly embrace revisiting our basic memes and American principles so that they are functional, adaptable and sustainable again. If we do this collectively and successfully, we can live a science fiction-like reality that is very human centric by the end of this century, and avoid very catastrophic harsh survival scenarios and various dystopian forms of government that will inevitably happen, if we fail to act.
If we withdraw the power that we give daily to the govt. and businesses, then in a Jeffersonian manner we can create the world anew.
