Come for me in the morning light,

my love, and set the evening free.

O come upon the heaving waves

that lift us into ecstasy.

O lift us into ecstasy,

our gazing transmigrating eyes

where I am you and you are me,

a heaven of sumptuous sighs.

Bring to me your second sight,

that sees forests beyond the tree,

a world without masters or slaves

and where everybody is free.

O where everybody is free

and no one wants it otherwise

and no one knows how else to be,

a heaven of sumptuous sighs.

O in the celestial night

I can see your cosmology --

starlit interconnected naves

in bright cathedrals by the sea.

O the cathedrals by the sea

and the stain-glassed eternal skies

that hold our ancient history;

a heaven of sumptuous sighs.

.

Mind and matter meet in beauty,

the soul of our suspirant whys

in constant contiguity,

a heaven of sumptuous sighs.
