Biden's win caused the global community to collectively heave a great sigh of relief. Naturally, the exceptions were the usual suspects. However, the future of global democracy still hangs in the balance, due to the pernicious nature and inherent dangers of Trumpism. Recent events have demonstrated, ad nauseam, the length and breadth, Trump and his acolytes will go to ignite the US Constitution, on their profane bonfire of vanities. Any left-over hallowed papyrus, would be destined for use as toilet paper; ending up in the nation's sewer system.

I wrote a political satire sketch for the following reasons.

1.Trump is still an existential threat to democracy, even more so, now that he has lost irredeemably to Biden.

2. His feral-like, default position, is to court and instigate, cruelty, chaos, and violence, especially when his back is against the wall.

3. He is prepared to burn the whole house down, on his way out. Like an emotionally damaged, developmentally challenged, scorned lover; his thinking is - "if I can't have you, then no one else will have you."

4. 73 million people are still under the sway of the most dangerous man on the planet. The spell has not lost its potency. It is stronger than ever.

5. Satirical comedy may have a way of getting around people's cognitive dissonance, inorder to get them to lay hold of their critical thinking skills.

6. This medium does not lay blame, cast judgement, or question a person's morality or intelligence. It informs, in a non-threatening, truth-telling manner.

7. Many people ask how to convince Trump followers, that he has soiled the office of the presidency on every level. Consequently, not only has he betrayed the citizenry, he has contaminated them with his brand of toxicity and depravity. This is not a realization that can be clobbered into their heads, or even spoon fed to them. It's a revelation they will have to arrive at on their own terms. The road to that outcome, begins and ends with acceptance of the unvarnished truth, which may be presented to them by a variety of vehicles.

8.Just as groups of Republicans agsinst Trump, coalesced around Biden's candidacy, it is possible for Republicans who voted for Trump in 2020, to eventually view him as a very deeply flawed, failed leader and denounce him publicly, as a patriotic act. Their actions could grow into a movement, which would cause others to peel away from his cult of personality. This would contribute towards the national healing process, which is desperately needed.

9. In light of the current, Trump-induced-non-concession-maelstrom, which has already given rise to violence, this is the most perilous period for the US, and the rest of the world.

LET THEM DRINK BLEACH

Trump aide: ( paying obeisance, cap in hand, nervously shifting his weight from one foot to the other) Your Imperial Majesty, pray, permit your humble servant to approach your footstool. I have come to report matters of grave import to my liege, concerning your most loyal and ardent subjects.

Trump: (in full authoritarian mode/garb, surly, discombobulated, and about to rip off his comb-over) Approach, but make it quick. The usurper of my throne, the scoundrel, known as Biden, is plotting against me as We (royal) speak. By Jove, he will not have his way. Every vote not cast for me, is an illegal vote, in an illegal election. Forsooth ! What is this new sorcery, called elections? Summon the Court magicians immediately - McConnell, Barr, Pompeo ! All this talk of elections must cease. The very notion of elections, must be dismantled and disappeared, forthwith. There shall no such trickery in the Kingdom of Trump.

Trump aide: (wild-eyed, visibly shaking) Your Eminent, Most Worshipful, Royal Highness; the Trumpsters, your devoted and compliant serfs, are at their wits end. They fear the deep, deep, boiling wells, of Trumpism, are to be sealed off, anon. They wonder how they will slake their thirst, for that which only Trumpism provides, par excellence: The hate, chaos, corruption, division, misogyny, malignant narcissism, lies, vulgarity, criminality, incompetence, disloyalty, treachery, cowardice, exquisite cruelty, racism, military bashing, climate science denial, reckless disregard for human life, incitement of violence, destroying alliances, coddling dictators, upending norms of governance, denigrating the rule of law, shredding the constitution.......indeed much, much more. For you are a fountain that never, ever runs dry.

Trump: ( out-of-character, momentarily thoughtful) Far, far, be it from me to tell a lie. Of a truth, Trumpism has breast-fed the people for nigh 5 years. Hmm, let me give this most pressing matter some thought. Is Fox news on ? Hell's bells, there seems to be nothing I can parrot from them for now. They are occupied with destroying my arch-rival, Biden and his black female accomplice, Kamala Harris. We (royal) will have you know, she is just as much a dog, as the other wench, Omorosa. And like "the squad," must be made to return to her country. Hmm, this one is all on me. (he lumbers up and down for a short while) Eureka! Let them drink bleach!

Trump aide: ( backing out of the room, all the while bowing and scraping, facing Trump) My lord , what magnificent pearls of wisdom, drop from your sacred lips. Hear ye: (proceeds to bellow) The very stable genius has spoken!

Trump: We (royal) place unfeigned, enduring affection for the people, above all else; indeed above my own fortunes. We (royal) will continue to make all manner of sacrifice, to ensure their well-being and physical health. Therefore, by Royal Proclamation, bleach shall now be a cost free commodity, throughput the realm. However, as a token and show, of their abiding loyalty, citizens must each pay a stipend of gold coin, into my coffers.

Trump aide: (genuflecting) Consider it done!

Trump: (orange face sweaty and suddenly animated, cries out) But wait ! Tell the town crier, to start in the black and brown hamlets.

Trump aide: (in awe) Inspired !

Trump: ( attention averted from the nearby golden platter, laden with royal, triple-triple-deck hamburgers, and mountains of greasy french fries) Find the village idiot, Giuliani, and tell him, no more press conferences in front of whore houses. Does he want to give Stormy Daniels illusions of grandeur? While you are at it, tell that sanctimonious, Pretend-Christian-Pence, no more nesting flies on his hair at televised media events. It's a bad look. What was he thinking? That he was holding forth for Beelzebub?

Trump aide: Your wish is my command. No whore houses or flies, within camera shot of the fake media, aka, the enemy of the people. Most important of all, re-stock the shelves of all apothecaries in the land with bleach. For the people's thirst must be quenched, by Hook or by Crook.

Epilogue
When these kinds of individuals wield authoritative power, over systems and people, many of them develop a god complex. They see themselves as all-powerful, and not subject to the strictures and norms of human society. They are unfettered by the promptings of conscience, since they lack one.
Because they are chained to a place of palpable darkness, corruption and ignominy, their actions are never reflective of the character of the God of love, grace and mercy.

What can be done?
Characters like these, have to be introduced into universal popular culture, so their dastardly, sociopathic traits are widely recognized and shunned. This would prevent them from being rewarded with great power, and the ability to dismantle protective systems and safeguards, and thereby, inflict immeasurable suffering on large populations.
