Trump Annual Fundraising Bombs Compared to Democrats

By Rob Kall

I don't get it. Why are the mainstream media ignoring the massive quarterly and annual differences between Trump and the combined Democratic fundraising haul. These numbers tell me that Trump is at far greater risk than the pundits and mainstream media are saying.

Annual numbers for fundraising are in.

Donald Trump raised 143.8 million. That's more than any Democratic candidate raised. Maybe that makes Donny feel smug, even comfy. Here's the graphic MSNBC's Steve Kornacki presented on Morning Joe this morning.

And these don't include at least $150 million spent by Bloomberg and Steyer

Sure, Trump tops this list. But they are not all running against each other. The winner of the Democratic primary will run against Trump. So... we add up all the Democratic fundraising to compare with Trump and that works out to $412.1 million compared to Trumps $143.8 million. And that leaves out probably $150 to $200 million more that Mike Bloomberg and Tom Steyer spent. Put that in-- say $150 more and we see a total of $512 million-- vastly more than Trump raised.

I don't get it. Why are the mainstream media ignoring the massive quarterly and annual differences between Trump and the combined Democratic fundraising haul. These numbers tell me that Trump is at far greater risk than the pundits and mainstream media are saying. Perhaps that makes for more ad revenues and bigger viewer numbers.

And lets keep in mind that even with the uneven coverage in the primary, with Biden, Warren and Buttigieg getting far more than Sanders, Sanders crushed fundraising, even with his heart attack.

You might as well get used to it. The mainstream media are not doing their job analyzing polls and data.
