The Constitution Of "The Direct Democracy Republic Common Wealth Of The United States Of America" -- Part 2 - Our New Bill Of Rights and Responsibilities -- Article 15 -- The Rights and Responsibilities Mercifully and Intelligently Given To Other Species Of Our World.

There are many ramifications of Our Rights and Responsibilities to Other Animals of Our Planet.
We would do well to eliminate certain creatures, because they are harmful to Us. But We must be careful not to remove too many links in the chains of Life on Our Planet.

We do not want to cause the collapse of Our Planet's Life Systems"that would endanger Our Existence.
We would also do well to protect other creatures, because they enhance Our Existence with diverse, interesting and educational expressions of Life. Through these We learn more about Ourselves and Life itself.

(68) Animals have the Right to "low-stress" Lives, before they die. They shouldn't have to want for adequate food, water and shelter. They should not be isolated, unless their personality calls for this.
The Responsibility of this Right lies squarely on Humanity. It is Our Responsibility to provide reasonable levels of comfort and decent relationship, to Animals; either through what We construct in Our Civilization, or in the non-crowding and non-pressuring to wild Animals domains in the remaining wildernesses of Our Planet.

(69) Animals have the Right to adequate space to Live in, according to the needs of their kind.

The Responsibility of this Right is Ours. We, as the dominant species must maintain, Humanely, a proper relationship between available space and the number of other species within it.

(70) Animals have the Right to Healthy Food and Water.

As much as possible, what We have for Ourselves, as "clean" and healthy food and water, We should also provide for other species. The main point here, is that disease free and nutricious food be provided. All environments on Our Planet are Our Responsibility.

(71) Food Animals have the Right to painless and quick non-suffering deaths. (Injections perhaps?)

When We do kill animals for food, it is Our Responsibility to do so as painlessly and as quickly as possible. For the Creature to just go to sleep and then, in that state, die, would be the ideal.

(72) "Pets" have the Right to good no-cruelty treatment, affection and Love from their Human Owners.

If you get no sense of happiness, or joy, from an animal that is with you, then you should not have pets.

(73) "Show Animals" have the Right to Live when they have superficial and/or cosmetic abnormalities. Killing them because they are not up to rigid genetic trait standards is unacceptable.

We should sell or give away, as "Pets", the show animals that do not meet cosmetic standards. Not kill them.

(74) "Service Animals", such as "Guard Dogs" and "Draft Animals" should be trained in their tasks Humanely and not made to perform beyond their capabilities.

It is Our Responsibility to Wisely Know, just how far a "Service Animal" can go and then demand performance just less than that.

(75) Animals severely deformed through mutation of genes, or accidents, should be mercifully and Humanely "terminated", as soon as they are determined to be in this state.

It is Our Responsibility to reduce severe mutation by this merciful removal. Especially when the "mutation" causes extreme pain or discomfort in the Creature.

Authors Bio:

"White" male. 70 years old. Politically an eclectic, (confused?) mix of Conservative and Progressive. Have a dislike for capitalism, as it is practiced in the United States and as it is used to promote the tyranny of the new world order. Advocate of "Direct Democracy" and "Mutualism". Member of a new Third Party called "Citizens Party" and the "Green Party". Plan to vote for "Green Party" candidates, whenever Citizen Party candidates are not available. I am anti new world order, pro temporary American Isolation from the affairs of the rest of the world until We can establish and maintain Our ever improving Good example of a Better Benign Culture for Ourselves and the rest of Humanity Of Earth. We need the time and space to cure the illnesses of Our Capitalist Culture and become so much More than takers, profiteers and exploiters.

Also advocate of "New Tribalism". Ally of "some elements" of the "Old Tribalism". "First Seed Bearer Of "Narbarism"; one tiny and struggling branch of New Tribalism...that, nevertheless, has afforded me wonderful opportunities to personally become More and Better, through the work of trying to establish Narbarism in Reality. I see the Evolution of America as interconnected with that of Narbarism and, Hopefully, a source of Many, Many kinds of "Strength" for it. We will see.

I have become very dependent on OpEd News for the sharing of Kindred Souls who reassure and even inspire me with their ideas about Life and Our Society. I am also grateful to the conservative agents, who come here and share their perspective on life and Nation and issue challenges to what We Progressives are trying to achieve.

I come here just about everyday to watch for news and discussions that reveal the progress of Meaningful Change and Humanity's Evolution on Earth and the oppositional challenges to the same.
