For those of us left behind, however...In the CNN story this weekend, President Bush was shown bald-faced lying to the American people yet again by saying that the 2005 Fiscal Year deficit was only "$296 billion." The state of our union is such that the audience (hand-picked no doubt) actually broke into enthusiastic applause when he said that. Broke into applause for a $296 billion deficit! The America I love would stage a democratic revolution and cut the legs out from under such arrogant malfeasant tyranny and its ilk.
