The item or service could be almost anything of value. For instance, a friend of mine works at a fancy hotel, and he is going to ask the hotel management to donate a night's stay for 2 people. Other examples could be a meal for 2 at a restaurant, some interesting Hollywood memorabilia or a work of art you have and might be willing to part with, tickets to a show you are in or involved with, an acting or voice coaching class (since most of my friends are in "the biz", "biz-related" items and services would be welcome), movie passes, a gift certificate, or almost any item or service that you or the company you work for would be willing to donate for auction. If the item doesn't sell at auction, you'd get it back.
So if you check around and come up with something concrete, a definite donation of an item or service to the silent auction on April 23, please let me know asap.
If you or someone you know needs more information on my case and what is happening, please refer them to the defense fund website, www.hellerlegaldefensefund.com. The site has all the publicly known information on the case, especially the "Press" and "Blogs" pages.
Yours,
