The Durango Herald has been printing my Letters to the Editor for several years. Thank you! On a somewhat regular monthly basis, I have written about my experience, the cause and cure of mental illness.
An un-nurtured, pacifistic child I remained controlled by the automatic reactions of fear/flight. Un-nurtured, aggressive personalities remain controlled by anger/fight. Psychiatry’s environment of terrifying electric shock and body-sickening drugs guarantees progressive suicidal/flight and homicidal/fight despair. Real doctors in real hospitals saved my life over and over from my suicide attempts, physical drug damage, and life-threatening drug withdrawal.
After 31 years of psychiatric despair, I was a suicidal and homicidal paranoid schizophrenic. The 12-step, Alcoholics Anonymous self-development program provided the vital nurturing that empowered me to change from the automatic-reaction (psycho/terrified) child to conscience-directed (logical/loving) adult. I was cured of mental illness in six months — millions of other people never have a chance.
The Durango Herald has continued to publish the continuing agony of suicides and homicides. Type “best definition of insanity,” on your search engine and you get, “Someone (either Ben Franklin or Albert Einstein) once said, “The best definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Are we so insane a society we expect sudden different results from psychiatry or too insane to care? Some people do care when someone they know commits suicide or homicide or dies from the physically devastating drugs.
Why do we continue to do what does not cure mental illness? A.A.’s self-examination, self-knowledge, self-healing, self-discipline, self-dependency, psychological development program has been curing brain-drugging people of mental illness for over 50 years! Anyone and everyone who cares, please care enough to send an action letter to your elected officials, newspapers, schools, churches, family and friends and ask them to do the same. Ask them to change to psychological development programs in schools, mental illness centers, and prisons and save tax dollars, families, and lives.
