Iran-USA-Egypt One will not be surprised to learn Iran is adding fuel to the fire in Egypt, but what are the motives of the USA? Saudi Arabia should respond to the American threat of withholding funding by putting up $1.5b to be available immediately to President Mubarak and the Egyptian nation. Friends are measured at a time of need, and the message the USA is sending is: Do not trust us.

Mr. President While AIPAC, the Jewish Lobby in DC, national conference is taking place, President Ahmadinejad has the perfect opportunity to eliminate two archenemies of the Islamic Republic: President Hussein Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu, along with some 7,000 Jews from all over the US, a token of those who have infested every fertile ground in the Great Satan. Possibly the infestation is good for the Great Satan is Iran's enemy?

Israel, A Nation Lost Much has been heard during the last few days about Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu's decision to freeze construction in Jewish Settlements. A major demonstration has been held in Jerusalem against the freeze. The Government of Israel has provided a counter measure which adds some settlements to a National Priority Map, making them eligible for various benefits. Bussel reports from Israel of these and other developments.

A Border Crossing Is peace between Israel and Syria a dream? Bussel travels to Israel's Golan Heights to explore. He describes the family connections from both sides of the border as stronger than the dividing line. He then draws the analogy of Cuba and Florida and the path to peace there, concluding both sides can benefit greatly by unrestricted travel and by allowing and fostering cooperation. People and economy can work wonders.

The Persian Jewish Community of Beverly Hills "If a school teacher is called to service, there will be a volunteer as his/her substitute. If a building is hit by a rocket, we will be there to help clear the debris. ... Just imagine the publicity! The creation of this volunteer group will give a clear message to the world that Iranians and Israelis have no animosity towards each other." Reform Judaism Divergence of religious thought and practice seem to divide the Jewish Community in the USA. In this article, Bussel contends that the unifying theme of Israel, the Promised Land by G-d to His people, is greater than any labels used to bring about discord and divide. A Rite of Passage Shall the US withdraw its troops from Afghanistan? Bussel takes the unlikely position that American men and women should return home from Iraq and Afghanistan. The missions will be failures, and we will need to return, once again, at a later stage. However, as long as only a few fight a war which is neither understood nor appreciated by the majority of Americans, they should not be made to sacrifice their lives for others.

Tough Choices Minorities' rights in Israel, the one place where one enjoys equal opportunity under the law in all but one area: Some minorities are not obliged yet to serve in the military and national service is not yet mandatory. Some would claim this is a form of racism, discrimination, maybe even Apartheid. It is easy to twist the spoken word, but facts on the ground are solid evidence to the contrary. Compare also to the USA...

Blaming America - Planting Discord in Los Angeles A speaker came to Los Angeles, purportedly to give a talk of a technical nature. Instead, he focused on blame and insinuations. He targeted specific groups (based on ethnicity for instance) and told them they are victims of discrimination. In one word: Nonsense. When you come to Los Angeles, celebrate our diversity, highlight our achievements, learn from what we have done. Do not come to plant discord and hatred.

Repentance Whatever Israel does, she is found guilty of wrongdoing. The recent Goldstone Report is not breaking news but much of the same anti-Semitism designed to destroy the Jewish State. Taken in context of eight years of Israeli inaction, one must ask why has Israel deserted her own people for so long. Israelis are called to answer some very tough questions raised in this article, and with them Jews the world over.

A Hospital Visit (Corrected Version) PPO vs. HMO - let us look at the differences through a personal experiences, the lenses of one: For healthcare to be effective, we need good doctors and nurses, not bureaucrats. Those performing their duties and extending proper health care should be afforded basic protection against frivolous lawsuits. Those who are inept or incapable should leave the profession or be discharged.

Stop Blaming the Messenger A storm has been created when an Israeli professor at Ben Gurion University wrote an Opinion piece published in the LA Times calling to "Boycott Israel." I am angered less by the vile and misguided contents of his piece than by the fact Israelis are partaking in the general fight against the Jewish Homeland. Israel wants nothing more than Peace with its neighbors. Alas, these are the neighbors intent to destroy Israel.

A Changing Reality As a result of the Obama Administration's distancing steps from Israel, American Jewry's positions and behavior are changing over time, from predominantly liberal-Democrat toward the middle and even the right. Prominent members of Congress find themselves having to answer to the people, providing excuses for the President while trying to maintain their constituents base. All is too little, too late, claims Bussel.

Land Mine of Lies Most recently, the idea of a Jewish Homeland is strongly opposed as a racist idea. Israel can no longer be a Jewish State, while Saudi Arabia and Iran can "legitimately" be Islamic countries (and extremists at that). One must stop to think about the statement, its implications and the way to fight it. Jews and Christians, the People of THE BOOK, know the answer. Others seem confused at the propaganda thrown their way.

The Second Disengagement Today is the four year anniversary of Israel's unilateral disengagement from Gaza. Israel was hoping that by taking this step and leaving Gaza, the Gazan will find the way to focus on themselves, utilizing the billions in aid and the nonstop stream of convoys of humanitarian aid to other purposes than armament and terrorism. Gazans who used to be employed full time in a thriving place turned it into a terrorist super-camp.

35 Years After On May 15, 1974, a terrorist unit penetrated Israel from Lebanon. They took 105 school children, aged 15-17, hostage. At the end of the day 22 children were murdered. 35 Years After take us back to that day and reviews a new documentary "Their Eyes Were Dry" recounting the events of that day.
