Burl and Grandmerry Hall
I (Burl) came across an elderly lady when Trump was running for president. "Donald Trump is the MAN I am voting for," she stated to me in our short conversation. My heart was aghast and I wondered, "Why would an elder vote for Trump when she was a middle or working class person? She's one of the people Trump's philosophy will hurt!
Are people this out of touch with our current world or reality? Are we conditioned rats in a Skinner Box (named after an experimental psychologist), or are we mesmerized into such actions that will hurt us specifically and the Earth in general? Are we thus masochists wanting to be beaten up?
Why do we human beings do this? Was psychiatrist Eric Fromm correct when he states we "escape from freedom"? His work reflected Nazi Germany back in the 30's and 40's.
How does Trump reflect the larger population? Post your response in the comments, if you'd like.
Many of the people who voted for Trump are of working class status. These people have been negated by most politicians; of all stripes. Yet, it's the "working classes" that often votes for a person like Trump.
Why?
I leave that question to the reader. Place your thoughts in the comments, if you wish. Ask some of your friends and family "why Trump?" Don't argue. Just listen to their reasoning. What do you come up with? Can you share it with us via the comment section?
