Let's get serious, people. We have a lunatic wanting to blow off his penis and the president says we are at war.
Let's get it straight terrorism is NOT war, it is merely that, terrorism. War is when the military of one country confronts the military of another. It is not when one's military is used to gun down individuals who commit crimes against civilians.
What they have done is ideal for the industrial-military-banking complex as it ensures a never-ending cash flow and a never-ending downgrading of living standards for the majority of citizens.
While purporting to "keep us safe and secure" they have made us less safe and secure. We have lost most of our precious individual freedoms, many have lost their jobs, many have lost their retirement benefits, we have lost the security of living in a nation which is self-sufficient as most of the consumer products now come from outside our borders where sanctions imposed against us could cripple us, plus our nation has been maneuvered into a state of bankruptcy (face it, if our nation was an individual that would be the status, instead they continue ordering the private corporation, Federal Reserve Bank, to print money hand over fist and they gladly respond leaving our taxpayers to pay for the printing as well as the hefty interest, but that's another tale of rip offs).
All of this while the crafty leaders have never asked the populace to sacrifice. I guess they consider they could manipulate enough from the people, and besides, what more could the people give that they haven't already in the recent decade?
I believe it is time for the people to rise up and stop the train stop our military (and hired mercenaries) killing innocent civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and who knows where else and deal with the likes of the crotch bomber as the criminals they are.
We also need to demand our civil liberties be returned. This idea that we all must be treated as criminals in order to keep us safe is insane insanity of the people who feel that giving up those liberties is right, that is.
We need to reject this insane idea that to "privatize" is cheaper. Since when is a for-profit corporation cheaper than a not-for-profit entity? Since when is it cheaper to have the private Federal Reserve Bank print our money cheaper than doing it ourselves, without the interest? Since when is Medicare cheaper than the for-profit insurance companies? (Oh this brings on the "but Medicare is going broke" minions. The program has withstood decades and needs tweaks, but will go on for decades more). Since when is it cheaper to hire mercenaries to do the work of our service personnel (whilst we are asked to "Support our Troops" we see them doing the same as these mercenaries who are earning 4-5 times annually more than our troops. Who is being supported)?
Stop this insane "War on Terror", use the money to build our nation back up through supporting our kids and education, rebuilding our infrastructure, creating jobs that will rekindle the finances and hopes of our working class, and provide a healthcare system that ranks far better than 37th in the world.
