The know nothing pundits in DC are about as informed about life in the country as I am about life on Mars. Yet they constantly preach to us about what should be done, how things are going, etc. I would like to set them somewhat straight.

::::::::

While traveling along the highway I-80 recently, I heard David Frum pronounce based on his reading of some statistics published I think by Ford Motor Company that the cash for clunkers worked well and increased American awareness of the silliness of SUVs. As I listened to this man whose only really decent resume item was his writing speeches for the man who truly knew nothing and wanted to know even less, I was amazed.
I was on the road, surrounded by the enormous fleets of SUVs that still fill up our streets and highways. I call them boats because they are so large and make such enormous waves in the flow of traffic. They can barely see people like me in their mirrors and have been known to never see pedestrians. Yet, Mr. Frum sat comfortably in his study pontificating about the demise of the SUV. Does he ever drive anywhere? What in fact does he drive?
Then there are those idiots in DC who want us all to have the crummiest health care while enjoying the benefits of the best there is, for life, because they represent us. The idiocy we must subscribe to in order to let them decide our health care fate astounds me daily. Yet, who is it standing up to them and saying, Senator Lieberman, in addition to your wife being a shill for the health care industry, would the two of you give up the tax payer provided health care you enjoy so we can all be on an even foot as this issue is being debated?
Will your wife give up her job so you do not look as if you are playing favorites here?
There is such a long list of idiots to call on these days. It might be good to do an idiot a day awareness campaign. If it were not so obvious to some and should be obvious to all, the government we have elected to represent us does not represent us. We vote but they are bought and paid for by those whose pockets are so deep none of us will ever see that kind of money in our entire lifetimes.
Think about it and vote for your favorite idiot of the day. Vote early and vote often. I am from Chicago and I know the power of the stuffed ballot box.
