The Israeli's want Jerusalem as their undivided capital as do the Palestinians. Why not allow each to be sovereign on alternative days?

In the early days of the RomanRepublic command of the Legions alternated between two appointed commanders on a daily basis. This promoted negotiations between the commanders and made the abuse of power more difficult.

In the Dandenong Hospital there is a sacred space that is shared by all faiths. It is designed to change easily to cater for the faith needs of all the hospitals patients (Dandenong is a very Multi-cultural, Multi-faith community).

This was negotiated by the local inter-faith network, leaders of the many faiths who work together to promote mutual understanding.

Alternate sovereignty over Jerusalem on the basis oftime sounds silly but if it's silly and it works it's not silly.
