Bob Cesca is a writer, director, and producer as well as the founder of Camp Chaos Entertainment, an animation studio based near Philadelphia. He's written and produced literally hundreds of animated shorts as well as music videos for Iron Maiden, Meat Loaf, Everclear, Yes and Motley Crue. Just after 9/11, Bob produced and directed an independent feature film titled The War Effort: a mockumentary satirizing the nation's knee-jerk patriotism which arose following 9/11.
He's also the creator of the animated sketch show "ILL-ustrated" which aired for two seasons on VH1and MTV2. Bob grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Political Science. He's the editor of the RealityBasedNation.com blog.

The Teabaggers & hate mongers who turn up regularly on right wing radio & increasingly in the New York Times seem to be OK with looting the treasury & illegal wars as long as a black guy isn't in charge.

America Used To Be Really Goddamn Awesome I've been captivated by Ken Burns' The War this week and it struck me how awesome America used to be. The prevailing attitude of the ladies and gentlemen featured in Burns' film, and by proxy all Americans of that era, was that if we had to fight a war, we had better do it right. Clearly and with little dissent, we had to fight that war, and without fail, Americans rallied together to do it really damn well.

It's Not About The Firearms So what causes a maniac to murder 30 people in cold blood? It can't possibly be about the 9mm handguns, in the same way terrorism isn't about access to beverage containers. Yeah, I'm one of those progressives who has long since conceded the gun debate. It's not because of the gun lobby's simplistic talking points, it's not because of the hunters who think it's most excellent to kill innocent animals...
