Rescuing Simple
Minds in Difficult Times

Color codes to
represent how fearful we should be, a decks of cards with the bad
guys photos on them and "a road map" to peace, are such
simplistic symbols of such difficult events, but they were
devised to appeal to simply minds. Perhaps that's why, about
half the US, think that bush is doing a "good job"
running the country. There is no challenge to these people to seek
or understand facts, they just play the game along with the
administration. The administration tells them when to
move, what to think and what to feel and they simply obey orders
because it's easier than actually thinking for themselves. It's
easier than taking responsibility for their own thoughts and
actions. Just obey and move on. If the president says
it's the truth, accept unquestionably, that he is right.
These simple thinkers like bush because he and his administration make
it easy for them to understand world events by giving them the
equivalent of secret decoder rings and tokens to
represent success or failure. Keep it simple (for the)
stupid.
The date of the attacks of September
11, 2001, is equally simple and easy to remember as it coincides with
our 911 phone number to call for help. Were the hijackers who
flew those airplanes that day thinking about how simple and easy it
would be for us to remember that date? The day bush
proclaimed the war complete was May 1, 2003, or May Day.
Was bush thinking about how simple and easy it would be for us to
remember that date? These are simple and easy dates to remember
for those who find facts just to difficult to recall.
This is effortless historical recollection.
Notice that "911" is a call
for help on land and "May Day" is a call for help at
sea. Please also notice that bush's ratings were down just
prior to September 11, 2001, and he needed some "help"
to boost them up. He received that boost due to the horrific
events on our land that day. Please also notice that bush's
ratings were slumping before May 1, 2003, and he needed to
boost them up again. With his
"mission accomplished" speech aboard the USS Abraham
Lincoln, he received "help" at sea.
Is there a pattern of plans here or do
we just have an amazing coincidence of clues? When this ship
of state is in raging rough waters does it simply call upon a
calamitous event to boost it's ratings and steady
it's course? Does this ship of state use tragedy as
a life preserver? Is it possible that when it looks as
though bush's ambitions are sailing too far a-sea from current
public opinion, he simply flashes a distress signal
of death and 50% of the public will row blindly
along, following in his wake? Is it even conceivable that
the bush administration has led this country on a foggy course of
deception and false alarms, even when it meant we were heading
into dangerous waters of peril? When this administration
sets it's course, you either follow obediently or you're set
adrift. When bush needs help for his cause, watch for blood in the
water. It's just that simple.
It has been said so many times that to get
to the answers, you should "connect the dots". As
everyone knows, the dots must first be numbered and the
numbers must be followed in order to create a
recognizable picture. Seems to me that our dots are numbered and
even the simplest mind should be able to connect them.
Such easy dates to remember, such
simplistic symbols, that's what 50% of Americans want and that's simply
what they continue to receive from the bush administration.
Keeping with this simplistic approach to communication, perhaps it is
now time for us to issue our own "SOS". Save Our
Souls from this Same Old Shit! This country is in trouble
and it needs to be rescued before we sink deeper into the depths
of this administration's sea of lies and deception.
It's just that simple.

I live in the wonderful state of Florida. I am a mom to Murphy (my
precious pup) and Fred (my occasionally precious cat). I share my life,
my laughter, my world and all of my love with my husband and
have for 16 years. I would describe myself as a very sentimental and
sensitive person who is forever willing to share my point of view
whether or not it has been requested of me. This
