  • If someone  with authority came to this country and figured out a way to evict bush from the Whitehouse, many of us would be so grateful.
  • But,
  • If that same authority had, in the process of evicting bush, dropped bombs on our country and killed thousands and thousands of innocent Americans , we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority's bombs had destroyed our electrical and communications systems, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority began to take over our government buildings and made them into lodgings for themselves, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority decided that we would have to change our way of life to conform to another way of life, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority dismissed and or jailed all our officials, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority chose our new officials and controlled them, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority said that we had to remove all references to bush from our educational literature, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority fired all our workers and let their own workers take the jobs, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority took over the control of our largest natural resource, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority sent soldiers to our homes and they broke down our doors at night and took away some of our family members, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority imprisoned many of our family members on suspicion that they had favored bush, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority told our farmers which crops they could and could not grow, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority told us there were only certain hours we could be on the streets, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority told us that we had to show identification each time we traveled down our streets, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority strung razor wire around our city, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority caused unknown enemies to come into our towns and blow up our buildings, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority assigned soldiers to frisk men, women and children on the streets, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority invited all their enemies from around the globe to come to fight them in our country, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority, having now invited those enemies to our country, told our police and our soldiers that they had to fight those enemies, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority told our soldiers that they must learn to fight in a different way than they had before, we wouldn't like that.
  • If that authority kept telling us they were doing these things because we couldn't do them ourselves, we wouldn't believe that.
  • If that authority told us they were making our country better, we wouldn't believe that.
  • If that authority told us that we owed it to them to do all they had demanded, because they had evicted bush, we wouldn't like that.
  • If we could figure out a way to make this authority go away and leave us alone so we could make our lives the way we wanted, and not the way the authority wanted, we would surely like that!

When you look into the mirror, you see things from an entirely different point of view.

Patricia Ernest, aka Pissed Off Patricia  nesters@bellsouth.net I live in the wonderful state of Florida. I am a mom to Murphy (my precious pup) and Fred (my occasionally precious cat). I share my life, my laughter, my world and all of my love with my husband and have for 16 years. I would describe myself as a very sentimental and sensitive person who is forever willing to share my point of view whether or not it has been requested of me.  This article is copyright by Patricia Ernest,  originally published by opednews.com Permission is granted to forward this or to place it on a website as long as the article is included intact, including this statement.
