I am a musician and retired professor of music, having spent the last years of my teaching career in a community college. Although I am retired from teaching, I still am active as a performer (pianist,) songwriter, vocalist, humorist and entertainer. My specialty is performing standards from movies and shows, and relating anecdotes relating to all aspects of the music and lyrics. I and my songwriting partner have written over 100 songs and had them included in movies and network soap opera. Currently, I have six albums of piano music on the internet. I have received many awards, and my only sadness is the deplorable state of the world and my contry's major role in exacerbating it. Apropos of this, my favorite quotation has to be one of Albert Einstein's most famous: "With the splitting of the atom, everything has changed except our way of thinking."
I was once the boat-boy at an Adirondack lodge (in 1944) where the great Einstein was staying for the summer. I actually helped him into his sailboat on a couple of occasions. He loved to go out to the middle of the lake by himself and play his violin! My life has been replete with rich and enjoyable experiences. Would like communicating with interesting people!
