"While it may be true - and probably is - that not all Muslims are terrorists, it also happens to be true, that nearly all terrorists are Muslims." - Dan Gillerman, Israel's ambassador to the UN

Allah akhbar.
(God is great.)

Habibi (my friend), since this incursion started all of these have been designated as "legitimate terrorist targets".

Food processing plants
fuel storage tanks
a Proctor & Gamble import facility
the international highway
from Beirut to Damascus
and major electric utilities

Phone networks, TV stations
all major bridges, highways and seaports
hospitals, mosques and schools
the new international airport

Grain silos, oil refineries
a lighthouse and a Greek orthodox church
milk and pharmaceuticals factories
gas stations and waterworks

Orchards, fields and apartment blocks
the Red Cross and Khiam Prison
entire residential neighborhoods
vans, cars and minibuses full of civilians

Khadija Moussawi, her children, Bilal, Talal
and Yasmine. Mustafa Jroud, Maouffaq Diab
and Ali Suleiman.

Bushra Shugr. The Mouawads, Ahmed and Khairallah. Mohammed al-Ghanam and Daoud Hazima.

All the Lebanese civilians killed have names. They had jobs. They had loves. They had lives. Mothers, fathers, aunts and uncles nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers grandmas, grandpas, friends and cousins husbands and wives.

Leaflets are dropped "to ensure the safety of the Lebanese civilian population" intended to warn them "to stay clear of areas from which rockets are launched against Israel, as these will be targeted (by the IDF) and civilians present in these areas are endangering their lives."

The people of Marwaheen fled their village on instructions from the IDF.

They lived near the spot on the border where 2 of Israel's soldiers were "kidnapped". They were ordered to leave their homes behind and get out by 6 p.m. They appealed for sanctuary to Ghanian soldiers who were working there for the UN. But the Ghanians refused, complying with guidelines drawn up in 1996 when civilians in the UN compound were bombarded by the IDF.

One hundred and six were slaughtered. More than half of them were children. So the Ghanians were within their rights to refuse to shelter Marwaheen's civilians.

The people of Marwaheen then set off north in a convoy of trucks, minivans and cars and just a few minutes later were targeted by an F-16 fighter-bomber. The bomber hit a truck carrying 24 wounding women and children sitting in back. And then an Apache helicopter appeared to finish the objective of the bomber's attack.

It blew the pickup truck into pieces as passengers jumped in an attempt to survive. Twenty civilians were killed, twelve of them burned alive. Near the charred convoy lay the remains of a child, still smoking, in the rubble where her body was hurled when all of Lebanon began exploding. The dead lay in the sun for hours before anyone could come to collect them, for the Red Cross is often fired upon as they try to get help to the victims.

"Lebanon, Corporations and the War on Terror" - Vi Ransel

Thank you Ransell for trying to refresh 'memories' in the West. For us on the receiving end of the Palestinian, Lebanese, Iraqi and yet to come Iranian and Pakistani SHOAHs, we have abandoned all hope in your audience in the West. We have stopped caring about what the Americans and the Israelis perceive or not perceive. What is more important for us is the AWAKENING these SHOAHs have resulted in, leading to a resolve, no less than the resolve of Saladin, to get back what has been stolen from us; land, wealth, lives, our COMMON SECURITY and our God given right to be perceived and treated as HUMANS. By God WE shall get it back by any and all means available to us and this WE includes Arabs, Iranians, Turks, Pakistanis etc to the last individual in the 1.3 billions of us.

The picture of war-mongering, sanctions-endorsing

Hillary Clinton hovering in the ad box is a GRIM reminder of how many people still "don't get it".

This value system of some people are worth more than others and that grabbing resources by FORCE is not to be born, no matter who is practicing it - man OR woman.

This was a very good article on what is wrong with the so-called War on Terror; Tom Engelhardt covered much the same territory today on a Tomgram.

As Noam Chomsky points out: the US thinks it owns the world, when in fact it does not. All those who think the transnationals have the right to kill people using state power (rightly or wrongly gotten) they "paid" for must face international war crimes tribunals. We need that healing for everyone to move forward and we need it NOW, as morale is so bad everywhere.

Richard Cheney has lead the US intel services for nearly four decades. Bzrenski has "advised" lots that lead to this horrible state of affairs and he is baggage on Obama's arm. They should all be tried as the WAR CRIMINALS that they are.

Impeachment proceedings are a start towards that path . but if that fails we should all be writing to the International Criminal Court demanding JUSTICE. Maybe then the inSECURITY COUNCIL might make moves to get some real peace and harmony and the rebuilding could begin.

I find the current state of affairs unbelievably tragic - so do many others.

Even with climate "changes" (not global warming, doesn't exist), new catastrophes to come, and so on there really is NO overpopulation and we don't NEED to reduce the "stock" we need to distribute things FAIRLY and help people own their own services and workplaces. Justice cannot be done on just pieces of paper or in courtrooms.

We must all work on these things with no room for sexism and racism at ALL.
