Now really folks, there can't be too many more poor souls out there thinking the Bush wrecking crew hasn't screwed up in a way probably not seen in history, certainly not American History.
No, you're not going to get your democracy back because you never had one. Take back your government? Why? It doesn't do anything for you but take your money and give you nothing in return. The jobs this den of thieves in Washington let go off shore are your jobs.
There is and has always been plenty of money to pay you fine wages. You know, like 15 or 20 bucks an hour. Why can't these corporations pay for your medical care entirely. They used to. When I was on faculty at Odessa College in Odessa Texas, get this, they paid 100% of my medical insurance. 80% on dental and eye care.
I had a 401K with farmers into which OC put two bucks in for every one of mine. It isn't because there isn't enough money. It's because of people who decided they didn't want to share ANYTHING with you, and in a mean selfish manner, took the jobs to countries who'd be grateful for any sort of employment.
It is demonstrable now, with ease that the Multinational American Corporations own the government. Illegitimate though it may be.
Let's consider some fundamental facts. According to the Constitution, George Walker Bush was never elected to the office he continues to occupy. Furthermore, Mr. Bush, (first time I've said that) knows he wasn't elected as do his cohorts. This makes Mr. Bush guilty of a Federal Felony. Yes, George is a known felon. Further, all who support him in any way are aiding and abetting a known felon.
Anything he does, including Iraq, Afghanistan, any sort of action or activity that requires the approval of the President of the United States (POTUS) is merely another crime. The Bush Family, depending on how much you read and research has a long history of criminal behavior. They have been involved in shady behavior for at least a century. Much, if not most in the Governmental and Financial sectors.
If you haven't read Palast's book, or Bob Parry's book, then read them. They're sort of like; "Everything you wanted to know about the Bush crew, but were to busy throwing up to ask." There are other texts by James Bamford which will give you an up close and personal look at the National Security Agency. Do you want to know what REALLY happened during the Reagan years? An aptly named book by Reagan's former OMB (Office of Management and Budget) Director, David Stockman called, "The Triumph of Politics." What an appropriate name! There is a terraton of information and data of every kind to shore up your knowledge base with, or to begin one for some of you.
It must be clear by now to most if not all, that knowledge, and action based on knowledge is the only way to fight these monsters. Do you REALLY care what happens to your children and grandchildren? One could never tell by the Lackadaisical behavior of most Americans. You should be asking yourselves why in hell are George Bush and Tony Blair still ALIVE much less still in office? You're paying George at least 400 grand a year! That was a little gift from Bill (that depends on what the definition of "is"is) Clinton when he DOUBLED the presidential salary.
Despite Bill's little indiscretion, though, things weren't to bad in the '90s. Though the rats were already coming up out of the sewer even then in the form of PNAC, prepping George for the office to which he was never elected, and causing terrorism which the US does daily with its bellicose foreign policy.
How much more of this phony crap like this nonsense at Heathrow Airport in London do you want to pay for? We should have better actors and candy and stuff to eat if we're going to persist in watching this crap. Now it's sports drinks. What next suppositories?
These guys and gals are spending billions of dollars (losing it into thin air too!) on a war that has no objective anymore and WHAT'S more the Pentagon knows this and is beginning to swagger like drunks trying to walk a straight line, which George CERTAINLY can't do. By the way, don't sneak up on George's Dick with or without a gun!
We don't want to take our country back. We want to take what's left and get back on the road to democracy. We want free medical care, and by god we CAN afford it when the People become the center of the "governments" business for the first time. We want GOOD schools with good texts that aren't filled with varnished nonsense. We want the truth. We can take it.
We want a group of representatives (lackeys) who are elected by us without any form of tomfoolery. That would include Federal, State, and Local. We want to reserve the right to dump these lackeys including POTUS if they persist in annoying us. To hell with corporations. We want to share in all the good life too. We want our kids to breath clean air, and drink clean water.
We want good food, food not full of chemicals and such. You know something? We can HAVE ALL THIS! We need to start treating people the way we want to be treated. We HAVE TO DUMP ANY FORM OF IDEOLOGY!! Jeez, that's got to be the most important thing! If Israel want's to continue to behave like a load of bastards and terrorists, let em, but not with our money or assistance in any way.
The easiest way to see if Israel has a "right" to exist is to give them the chance to try. No more money or guns. If they can hold up against the Arabs, then they get to carry on, if not, too bad. I'm not fighting for their religion, or anyone else's for that matter. My money isn't going to support their religious ideations either, not if I have anything to say about it.

I understand that you are upset at not having the nice health care insurance you once had. How does that make the rest of the world such a rotten place? Did somebody outsource education overseas?
You don't like President Bush and you didn't like President Clinton. Does that mean that you are opposed to both prominent political parties?
I suppose you would prefer a socialist system wherein you had free health care and the rest of the country could go to ....

Why, yes, a democratic socialist system. By the tambour of your statement, you misunderstand the meaning of socialism. I don't mind paying high taxes, if i got anything for them. Currently, I don't. If you're a bush fan, or a republican, then even discussing such a complex topic would be in vain. Thanks for writing!
