To All Candidates, Will You...? A Dozen Never Asked Questions

by Sandy Sand     Page 1 of 2 page(s)

Since Ronald Reagan, and perhaps even before, our government has done everything it can to eliminate the middle class in this country, and without a strong middle class, we are no better than a third world country...or worse.

Heaven forbid our spoiled, lazy, pampered press would ever deign to pose a tough, meaningful question to a presidential candidate -- or any candidate, for that matter -- when it's so much easier (and fun) to ask about a UFO sighting, or something equally inconsequential.

If the press would begin to ask hard-hitting questions, and keep firing away so the candidates can't dodge the bullet, they will be forced to give straight answers.

If that were to happen, then Sam Donaldson would forever be excused from doing the following:

Every four years journalists conduct a postmortem of their coverage of the presidential campaign, which is usually aired on C-SPAN.

Also, every four years Sam Donaldson makes the following obligatory and obvious statement:  We didn't do our job.  We got lazy.  We got sidetracked.  We didn't ask the tough questions.

Well, Sam, and all the rest of you highly paid, over-rated journalists, here's your chance to finally learn from you past mistakes and never have to apologize again for not doing your job.

I have the questions.  You have the press pass and the microphone.  Now start asking!

What the press must ask every candidate for any Federal office...

Will you restore the Constitution to its once glorious self?

Will you put an end to Blackwater (and like companies) being a malevolent, unConstitutional shadow military arm of the government that has more and better equipment than our "real" military, no "rules of engagement and no accountability?"

Will you be Harry Truman, who took the profitability our of war, end no-bid contracts for all government contracting?

Will you end ALL government contracts with ALL U.S. companies that wholly or partially outsource American jobs?

Will you end ALL tax breaks for ALL U.S. companies who off-shore their company addresses to avoid paying any taxes, and sue said companies for back taxes?

Will you penalize ALL U.S. companies that have gone off-shore or have outsourced American jobs?

Will you mandate the prohibition of any further outsourcing?

By the way

You might look at who it is who masterminds and administers and dominates 'third world' countries, and who is doing the same in ours. - Yes, the same folks.

No, I'm not going to say who they are.  Just you look for yourselves at the names of those involved in the practices of domination in our country and theirs.

But they are still the same folks.

Don't you think, if we could find a way to restrain them, that it would be a good idea to stop them?

Yes?

Well, there's a way to stop them.
