We see images of Bush with Olmert and Abbas. If there were comic strip "thought bubbles" over the heads of these leaders, the words "What the hell is this moron going to do?" would have to be writ large.

And then, we'd see, in the next box of the comic strip, more thought bubbles, "Oh well. We're being paid."

I would love to see some progress in mideast peace. But this summit is the ultimate example of elbow twisting and payoffs. I'm guessing that the nations which receive monies from the US have been elbow twisted to show up and many of the other nations, probably including Syria, have been bought. Bought!!

What, you think Condi Rice has tapped the deep efficacy she has proven and PERSUADED all these nations to show up? Not! Let's talk about Condi, too. Here we have another Bush admin joke. As I write, there's an ad running for Amitiza, a drug that treats chronic constipation. The actor who portrays the chronically constipated woman makes facial expressions that look like Condi. I imagine that working closely with George W. Bush would require a somewhat anal retentive type-- to deal with the massively ignorant incompetence combined with his arrogant, "god tells me" attitude.

But of course, in dealing with Condi, we face a Secretary of State who has a reputation for doing nothing-- and a reputation for buying shoes when America faced its worst natural disaster-- Katrina. Condi's rep is for visiting and leaving and getting nothing done. She puts in lots of shoe leather. So what. Nothing accomplished.

Seriously. This summit is a culmination of reasons for Americans to be embarassed. We have morons and incompetents in the most important positions. I actually wrote FOOLS first, and then replaced it with the word MORONS. You see, mythically and archetypally, fools play a valuable role in the halls of power, as in the Holy Fool Parsifal, or the court jester, who was often the only person in the king's court who could actually speak truth to power. I'm not sure we have anyone in the Whitehouse who can do that now.

Yesterday's display was a farce-- a summit that agreed to talk-- which is nothing new for the middle east, but too little, too late for the Bush administration. It's a last desperate attempt by Bush in his holy grail search for a legacy. But Bush will never find the Grail, let alone be able to own and enjoy it.

The mythic holy grail must not only be found but earned by heroic conduct and by following the hero's journey. That involves becoming wiser, becoming the better person, facing weaknesses and flaws, embracing the higher self, which involves integrating the archetypal feminine and masculine aspects of one's nature.

Bush is still a little boy who never learned to command, understand, relate to and integrate his maleness so it would not command him and take over his reactions. Bush has zero insight into the feminine side of his nature and establishing a healthy relationship with that too is essential to the personal growth necessary to become a true man-- a heroic man.

So, what we have is a child, who is dominated by unconquered aspects of his self, aspects that function often at a subconscious level. This is the stuff of the id-- impulses, out-of-control-- no wonder we have the chaos and destruction this man has wrought. And sadly, because the USA is-- or was-- the most respected nation on the planet, at least in some ways, this child-king we are afflicted with has become the example for other nations. And now, across the planet, there are similar unevolved, stupid, id-driven, ugly, greedy, selfish. sociopathic leaders, supported by soulless transnational corporations and power hungry military egomaniacs and sociopaths.

Watching Bush mouth the words his speechwriters pieced together, based on his barely competent ability to make an intact sentence, (with the oversight of the energy company and neocon mad scientist, failed globalism theories supervising the speechwriting) it was painful to again, on another day, face the reality that THIS is the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet. For that, we must thank the perverted religious zealots who have twisted and distorted the teachings of the founders of the world's religions-- pretty much all of the biblical ones-- Christianity, Judaism and Islam.

Perhaps there should be a summit meeting between the fundamentalist extremist sects of each of the big three. Maybe that's what it will take to find the holy grail of peace in the middle east. And perhaps it will take an innocent holy fool to make it happen-- like a madman who's lived in the desert, or a man who sees bushes burn without being consumed, or a man who hears an angel talking to him... It's happened before. But it won't happen with G.W.Bush. For him, there is a hell and he is already living in it. And it is a hopeless hell, for the more he "wakes up" and realizes who he has been and what he's done, the worst his hell will become.
