Is Chris Matthews Shooting for White House Press Secretary?

by Rob Kall     Page 1 of 1 page(s)

Tell A Friend

I just watched Chris Matthews talking soft and gentle, almost rhapsodically about Hillary. He was giving nice, kind reasons why she claps at her events.

I had to do a double take, he was so nice. Then it hit me. He could be the white house press secretary. It would be a big drop in pay, but what an opportunity to be an insider, to play a real roll in affecting the world, making a difference. He might do it for a year or two and then, well anything could be possible for him.

Then again, maybe now. I wonder who else might do it. Thoughts?

I just saw Matthews on BookTV in Miami

He's campaigning hard for Hillary, which is not that surprising. And he would be rewarded, but I wonder if he doesn't want more. He really liked to recount Tip O'Neill stories. I'll bet he'd like a staff job to lobby Congress.
