G.O.P. Aides Knew in Late '05 of E-Mail
From:
The New York Times
By CARL HULSE and RAYMOND HERNANDEZ
Published: October 1, 2006
House Republicans knew for months about e-mail traffic between Representative Mark Foley and a former teenage page, but kept the matter secret and allowed Mr. Foley to remain head of a Congressional caucus on children's issues, Republican lawmakers said Saturday.

Hastert, Top Aides Knew of Foley Allegations
From:
ROLL CALL
By John Bresnahan - Roll Call Staff -
Saturday, Sept. 30; 8:58 pm
Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) and at least three of his aides were told of allegations that then-Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) had improper e-mail contacts with a former House page months before the incident became public and Foley resigned from Congress, according to a senior House Republican and a report released by Hastert's office on Saturday.

This contradicts earlier claims from Hastert's office that the Speaker did not know of Foley's behavior until it was revealed this week by ABC News.

Ok, is there anyone out there who isn't convinced that the "Family Values" espoused by the Bush Regime is a crock of S#*&???

Here we have top Republican leaders aware of the nasty sexual peccadilloes of a seated congressman. The Republican leaders hid the fact that this congressman was corresponding in an unethical, extremely questionable and sometimes sexually-explicit manner with young White House Pages and yet they said NOTHING!

Now they're trying to bury this S#*& in the bottom of the litter box, acting as if they were unaware of Mark Foley's deviance. Couple this with the Jack Abramoff scandal (about which the Federal investigatory team and the media have barely scratched the surface), Katherine Harris's hysterical promotion of the need for (her sick & twisted) "Christian" political values, and the outright immorality of the continuing war in Iraq, and I'm DAMNED if I can discern anything in this mix relating to any "values" that I'd want MY family to emulate.

The fact that Foley led a caucus on children's issues is merely the icing on a stale, moldy cake that this administration has baked, decorated with poisonous frosting consisting of canned catchphrases and brimstone rhetoric about security and terrorists and served up to the people of America and the world on a silver platter.

Don't let the protestations of innocence fool you - our country is being run - into the GROUND - by the most corrupt, greedy and deceitful passel of varmints ever to ride their pale horses up the Capitol steps and into the inner sanctum of the White House. Think about this when you vote in November and in 2008 as well.
