Have you seen the movie, "The Matrix"? A computer hacker learns from mysterious rebels about the true nature of his reality, and his role in the war against the controllers of it.
What is the true nature of our reality? Of course everyone's definition is going to be different, but reality and facts are not really subjective, only interpretations. Two months ago, my reality was diametrically opposite to what it is now. I believed what I was told, what the media reported, what I thought I saw happening on 9-11. Now, when I express my opinion, I'm ridiculed, scorned, and labeled as a crackpot. My interpretation of the facts may be different from two months ago, but the reality of events on 9-11 have remained exactly the same as on the day they occurred. I was simply too ignorant of the facts to realize that what I was told by those that I trusted, was a complete lie.
We are all together, and all alike. My evolution of thought is much the same as the next person's. When I first heard about the 9-11 truth movement, I shrugged it off and said, "that's crazy, you're paranoid and delusional", or "there are always going to be some crazy conspiracy theories". Thank goodness my friend persisted and weeks later mentioned it again. This time, I opted to honour his integrity and respect his intelligence enough to take some time and do some research.
After five years of believing in something as fact, and having no other information to the contrary - it took me just one hour to see the real truth about this issue. There was an epiphany; a huge light went on inside my head, and suddenly so many things finally made sense about this tragedy. Especially the subsequent events dependent upon it, for 9-11 truly is the lynch-pin for the justification of so many atrocities perpetrated by its architects.
Heuristic logic and basic cognitive reasoning depend on elemental constructs of accepted thought and a fundamental understanding of physical laws, which can't be abrogated by such buffoonery as perpetrated by the US government. The buildings obviously came down because they were deliberately imploded, most notably the third one, which wasn't even hit by a plane. (David Copperfield would pay big bucks for that trick!) Why is it obvious? Let's look at this localized event of a plane crashing into the higher floors of such a tall building. One simply cannot rationalize how each floor underneath suddenly explodes into dust, loses all structural integrity, and allows a point in time/space at the top of the structure to fall down to earth at free-fall speeds, just as if there was only air to impede its descent. All those intervening floors suddenly decide to synchronously disintegrate into a total global collapse, and offer no resistance. Reason alone should dictate that those structures could only come down in this fashion by demolition. There simply is no other way to get a building to collapse like that, other than controlled demolition. Now, this point is really the key, like the first micro-second of the Big Bang Theory, so much is riding on this 9-11 catastrophe: the fake war on terror, the war against Afghanistan, the war in Iraq (Enough with the freedom and democracy already, you guys are killing me).
It makes sense, even to a non-engineer like myself, that if we are to believe the official "fire" theory, we would be forced to imagine that the steel be required to weaken under severe, and very long-lasting exposure to a heat source of incredible magnitude, to effect the entire steel frame, with all its heat dissipating potential over such a voluminous area of metal. That steel would get so extremely hot, that it would bend, buckle and sway in a non-symmetrical fashion. Instead, it broke into distinct sections - along with everything else being pulverized - and fell straight down into its own footprint. Add to this the many documented eye-witness testimonies of massive explosions occurring in the substructures and other floors, which could only account for the rivers and pools of molten metal found weeks after the event. This can be reasoned as follows:
Steel melts at X degrees. Fossil fuel fires, such as kerosene jet-fuel, can only obtain maximum temperatures of far less than X in these conditions over this elapsed time period. The fact of the matter is, stated temperature is far too cool to cause evaporation and melting of steel - unless we are to believe that a one-hundred and ten story building could crash down onto some steel, and heat it up to thousands of degrees only by the dynamic of friction alone. Let's think about this - let's try and drop a few steel beams off a tall building, and see if they turn into a molten state after hitting other steel on the ground. Is that what they'd have us believe? I dare say, next time someone tries to tell you a story about how Osama bin Whatsit and a bunch of nimrods with box cutters are to blame, ask them how we end up with molten steel - Tell me the process. While you're at it, ask how the hell did they get a forty-seven story building to fall down beside the ones that were hit by the airplanes? How did the steel in building Seven become so incredibly weakened, as to cause a total, global, synchronously beautiful, he said he was goona pull it, can't you all see that it was a controlled demolition collapse?
So, along our journey we must proceed.
Simply by using our Einstein-like thought experiments, along with physical evidence and eye-witness testimonies, and sometimes relying on critical thinking alone, we can say with utter certainty that these buildings were imploded. We can't rely on examination of ALL the physical evidence, most of which was whisked away by the authorities too quickly, a fact that tends to incriminate them. They can spend years reconstructing a plane crash to try and figure out forensically what happened, but not the US government on 9-11. No way. Not after the biggest, most diabolical, horrendous event of the new century. Just hours after the attacks we had pictures of the guys who did it, and a myth about a guy in a cave who masterminded this grandiose scheme to outwit the entire defense system of the biggest super-power on earth. No black boxes or video tapes released, gag orders issued, destruction and suppression of evidence, manipulation of media, etc. etc. etc.
Would it not seem reasonable to want to explore all potential eventualities and probable causes before coming to a hasty decision regarding the biggest mass-murder in history? Would one not at least consider a demolition theory, instead of sticking with a "official conspiracy theory" that required physical laws of nature to behave like in some bizzaro world. But no - because as soon as we admit that there were explosives, then we MUST admit that it was an inside job - ergo there must be collusion at the highest levels - case closed.
The entire government theory hinges upon there not being any controlled demolition. Unfortunately, anyone who looks at the evidence in an honest, scientific manner could hardly deny it. But still, they must adhere to this ridiculous explanation, and conveniently, anybody who questions it must be a terrorist, or somebody who supports terrorism, and on and on. Yes, my dear people of the United States and the World, it was definitely done by the very ones who have suppressed all the evidence and insisted on this impossible story. Ergo, there is no real war on terror as such, except for the one that the US government is inflicting upon us all. It's a hoax, a sham, and too many people on this planet are either uninformed, misinformed, or just plain dis-informed. Let's talk about Jaylo's new hair style, or Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction, or any other such inane drivel that those corporate slaves who call themselves journalists serve up on the idiot box every night.

I'm ashamed that I spent five years not even questioning 9-11 But once apprised of a few facts, and taking into account the totally shameful behaviour of the media, and the egregious actions of the US government to cover-up and obfuscate the truth, I realize I shouldn't be too hard on myself, or others who also must alter their mental paradigms about our world, no matter how comfortably they fit. We all must shudder at the thought that those entrusted to lead and protect us, could be so twisted as to commit such acts. It's time to wake up and do the right thing. All of us. We must get those psychopaths out of office, and don't bother with the other party, that's just part of the scam, in case you haven't figured it out. Take those trillions of dollars spent on killing people, and put it towards solar power, wind power, or any other kind of power that doesn't destroy our once-beautiful planet, or motivate a part of our society to become so dehumanized, that they could commit such heinous acts, all for profit and control.
The US government is leading its nation down a path to ruin. History does not look kindly towards tyrants who spread terror and perpetrate wars like the Bush administration. I was truly disgusted when it was demonstrated to me how the United States government has sanctioned the dumping of depleted uranium in some of the ammunition used on Iraq. Scores of babies born disfigured, both Iraqi and American, are a grim testament to this horrific practice. Bad enough that they kill and maim them, but to add insult to injury, do they really need to torture them, as well as subject future generations to such a ghastly existence? And why? Oh, right. Halliburton up five points.
Essays on 9/11 truth and globalism. In January 2007 there was an awakening in my life. Having just discovered the truth about 9/11, an internal struggle had to be reconciled. How does a moral, rational individual deal with the harsh realities concerning our world, and what can they do to expose the truth and realize justice for the victims, as well as the many lives taken in the subsequent wars?
We must all speak out about the 911 wtc controlled demolition. There were no airplanes - fake video fed to our mainstream tv. Why was the steel gathered and shipped to China (?) so quickly. Where is Barbara Olsen? And on and on ...

not to buy into the 'fake planes' disinfo. Some who talk about it simply do not know.The motives of others in the 9/11 truth movement may not be particularly pure..... the promulgation of stories about 'fake planes' and holograms ramming into WTC 1 and/or 2 is meant to discredit the movement as a whole.
To show the government conspiracy theory to be false one need only promote laws of science/physics and verifiable empirical data. That is all it takes.

Peter, I think you stated it all rather well. And it is true that many people can't handle the truth, the cognitive dissonance is just too great. But once people do realize the truth about 9/11 then their views regarding the structure of our society and the meaning behind events in our country (and world) necessarily must change. Everything changes with that new perspective. And you can never go back to the old way of looking at our country and the world. And if you are like me, you become afraid but mostly you become angry. Really angry.
You get nauseated when you hear Bush, or Cheney, et. al., But that should be obvious. I also want to puke when I hear the Dems who are either part of it or too cowardly to try to do something, like the Clintons, Edwards, Kerry and even so-called independents like Bernie Sanders..... (where's the vomit bag?) Cowards and worse than traitors because they obfuscate and lie. And because they resist full, independent and thorough investigations of what happened on 9/11. Because they know the truth of what happened on 9/11 would destroy the maggot and disease infested government and oligarchy of the United States Empire. And possibly the shadow government behind it.
Dorothy was right. We are not in Kansas anymore. But neither are we in Oz. Rather, we are in a special hell made by the elites for the great mass of sheep known as the public. But some of us now know there is a goat and have an inkling of what the goat is doing. And that number is growing and growing every day.

Thank you for this article. My whole family think I am a nut job. I will email the link to your article and hopefully this will let them at least open an eye just a little. The real facts are there, in plane sight, but people want to deny them. It hurts, it changes you forever, you can not go on as before, it shocks your brain, your senses, it rips you apart, but its the truth, and truth is far better than denial. Our Government did 911. They do not care who they kill. They have never cared who they kill. The truth is spreading fast. I for one, talk to everyone I can. Most do not look at me like a weirdo anymore, not like they did right after 911. I think the tide is turning. And YES, planes did hit the WTC..not like the first comment you received. Too many witnesses. anyway, something had to distract from the bombs in the basement. keep spreading the word.

Any time someone calls you a nut case because you disbelieve the "Official Conpiracy Theroy" - challenge them to a SIMPLE experiment.
Get that old kerosene lamp out of the garage, from the closet, or basement, where you stashed it and fill the reservoir with kerosene (jet fuel and kerosense are nearly idenitcal: jet fuel is filtered for purity)
Get a peice of steel - a length of rebar about a 12 inches long would be good.
Clamp that rebar so it will be sticking right in the hottest part of the flame from the lamp.
If you have a camera and a clock handy, get those ready too so you can document this experiment.
Light the the lamp.
Go get a sandwich... and a thick novel. Better make that several thick novels because this is going to take a long time.
That steel is not going to get hot enought to melt and bend even if you sit there all day because the flame will never get hot enough and the steel itself will dissapate the heat -- That pesky old Second Law of Thermodynamics.
'More' fuel will only make the flame burn 'longer,' but not 'hotter.'
So now you're sitting there waiting for your rebar to melt? Search some of the following on the internet: We have to ask: WHO wanted those buildings to collapse enough to INVEST the amount of man-hours and money in the operation to place explosives?
Who had the building security systems turned off over preceeding weekends to carrry out that operation?
AND - What ever happen to the several TRILLION Dollars which Secretary of Defense Rumsfled told Congress was missing and unaccounted for on September 10th? And WHAT were those missing several TRILLION Dollars used to pay FOR? (Search the web for more on that aspect of the the story, it's there.)
Were those missing monies perhaps used to fund an off-the books, black budget operation that put homing devices or remote control technology in some planes? Was Dov Zackheim in charge of THAT operation? (Search 'Dov Zackheim')
And WHO scheduled those several/numerous "DRILLS" for that exact morning - the drills which caused numerous government agencies to have their resourses off doing 'drills' instead of responding?
WHOSE office is the clearing house for drills of that sort...? (That info is available on the net too - if you look for it...)
Ah heck... better yet - when someone calls you a 'nut case' for not buying the official explanation for the events of that day - try this reply:
"Just becauseYOU can't stay informed about history or current events doesn't make ME a conspiracy theorist..." Hmmmm?

Although I agree that the fall of the towers looked like controlled demolition and not the result of a building fire, you are not helping your argument by describing a test that is not a good simulation of the conditions. I shot myself in the foot trying to use this argument on a physics professor I know. Of course a beam with a flame at one point is just going to conduct heat away from the flame. However, inside a building, the heat would be contained and temperatures could rise higher than the actual burning temperature of kerosene/jet fuel.
Whether the conditions really would concentrate the heat sufficiently to melt steel in the time between the impact and the collapse is another story. The more I think about it, the more implausible it looks.
I think a better weakness in the official story is how unlikely it is that spontaneous fires would have been synchronized well enough to cause symmetrical, simultaneous collapse of all the support columns. Demolition experts need to set charges very precisely for buildings to implode like that, so what is the likelihood of it happening accidentally?

With respect to the relevant factor, the presence of the super-strong structure of massive steel beams available to wick heat away from any fire, the heat was not contained. Even the fires were not "contained" inasmuch as there were gaping holes in the exterior walls and the fires were not raging per se because even with the exterior holes, there was not enough oxygen to support clean burning - rather, the dense black smoke identified lower intensity, oxygen-starved fires. And the preponderance of the jet fuel (kerosine essentially) was burned off in the huge fireballs at the time of impact. Heavens, people even walked through the area to stand at the exterior walls waving for help that never came. And fire fighters reported isolated pockets of fire they asserted could be easily controlled.
Remember as well that any hydrocarbon fire... any hydrocarbon fire not in a blast furnace where oxygen is introduced artificially ... can only burn at about 1700 degrees F, whereas the melting of steel requires 2700 degrees. And again, there was no blast furnace inside any of the three WTC towers that dropped like stones that day.
Recall also, if you will, the pools of molten iron/steel that remained in the footprints of each demolished building. Hydrocarbon fires, as is clear from the above comment about temperatures, could not have produced the molten steel.
Perhaps a better experiment might have been to place a box around the end of the rebar with the remainder protruding out of the box. Have a furnace heating element in the box burning any hydrocarbon fuel (natural gas works well in my furnace....). Then see just how hot your rebar gets.... You can let it burn that way for the next entire year (though your house my get too warm in the summer) and the rebar will never even glow.
The argument about the heat from the fires being sufficient to cause collapse has been debunked over and over. Yet it is still offered as a mantra-like excuse. Much as it was offered the day of the attack by an apparent shill during an 'on-the-street" "interview" in which he strives to help set the government's meme... its "theory" about the collapse from the very beginning. And some people insists on continuing to believe such drivel.
Only CD. Only CD could have brought those buildings down and the thermite/thermate residue found in the residue of the buildings puts paid to the government conspiracy theory.

Although, for your professor, there are images of people waiving from the blackened hole - sorta' discredits the idea that the contained heat rose enough to melt the steel in that time. I don't know too many people that can withstand 200 degrees, let alone 1000+. Not to mention, everybody forgets that WTC 5 burned untill it was a husk and didn't fall.

I wrote this a while back. To read the full article, follow the link at the end.
Presenting an uncluttered account of 9/11 inconsistencies is no easy task. The official account is so haphazard and full of holes, it's very hard to stay focused on one problem without being diverted into a string of related problems. With that in mind, try to forgive the following "rapid fire" outline:
We've got the "raging jet fuel theory" which (even if true) could have never generated sufficient heat to produce the molten steel found in all three buildings. In a logical world, we can't even begin discussing what caused the collapse of the buildings until we've identified what liquefied the steel support columns. Why? Because whatever liquefied the steel support columns is logically the most likely cause of collapse!
Another problem with the jet fuel theory (as we've already pointed out) is WTC 7 wasn't struck by a plane or burned with jet fuel. Since it must be assumed something else destroyed WTC 7, it's reasonable to assume something else could have destroyed the North and South towers as well.
To date, FEMA has only been able to come up with a "Diesel Fuel Theory" for building 7. Check the maximum burn temperature for diesel fuel and you'll run into the same problem we ran into with the two towers; it is no where near sufficient to cause the molten steel found at the site. Furthermore, when addressing how diesel fuel might have contributed to the collapse of WTC 7, FEMA is on the record as saying: "the best hypothesis has only a low probability of occurrence. Further research, investigation, and analysis are needed to resolve this issue." The attacks took place in 2001. How many more years will it take?
Now is a good time for a logical question: - How long would it take FEMA to "resolve the issue" of what caused building 7 to collapse if they were allowed to consider explosives in the building? I'm betting they could have a universally accepted, reproducible theory in a day. From there it would only be a matter of figuring out how the explosives got into the building. (...gotta be easier than trying to figure out how to bend the laws of physics.)
...so to speak, on the issue of 911 Truth Acceptance or Persuasion.
I do think if we had more people coming out with their own personal stories on 911 Epiphany (there's a title for ya), it would make the concept more mainstream.
I passed a key two paragraphs on to my Denier brother, and I feel that it will help.
You don't detail what transpired in the one hour that shined the light for you...can you elaborate?

My "conversion" happened while watching a video of a speech titled: September Eleventh; Should the truth be revealed or concealed? by David Ray Griffin
If only we could have a politician like Griffin - a man who espouses truth, reason and integrity.
As a theologian, Griffin offers us a way forward I feel - ultimately because he manifests such a positive aspect in the revealing of truth, all the while dealing face to face with such an ugly reality.
I'd like to pay tribute and give thanks to David Ray Griffin, I know that I'm not alone in my respect and admiration for this man as one of the great critical thinkers of our time.

Everyone knows the truth. Most are simply ignoring it.
Just like they ignore alcoholism, family dysfunction, getting health problems checked out for fear that it's something serious, and the crimes of politicians who blow just enough smoke and move just enough mirrors to provide a convenient excuse for not calling them on their perpetual bullshit.
In my humble opinion, here is an excellent place to start with those who have yet to accept the reality of 9/11:
911 is (not was) the most important single event in my lifetime, and I'm 62. It was a mass murder of thousands of human beings designed to promote a war without end. NO ONE IN THE POLITICAL ARENA IS WILLING TO TALK ABOUT IT!
Mayor Rudy's emergency bunker was housed in Bldg 7, so what in hell was super-dude doing walking the streets of NYC holding a hankie over his mouth? And we're to consider putting this guy in the White House?
Our Senate can't even agree to debate a non-binding resolution criticizing Bush's "surge". I'll take bets on their willingness to even discuss the events of 911.
The look is toward the '08 elections. Hillary won't say that her vote for entering Iraq was a mistake. Big news, right? Somebody ask her what she thinks of the 911 Commission Report! Ask them all. Not gonna happen.
This issue should be on the floor of Congress, not only the internet blogs and sites like OpEd and Universal Seed. Why won't anyone talk about this? Simple. It's REALLY dangerous.
By the way, a couple of years ago, my wife and I were entertaining some friends. The topic of 911 came up, we voiced our concerns, they got up and stormed out. We haven't spoken since. Interesting how frightening an alternative point of view can be.
