A Trinity of Corrupt Politics--To Spite The Face

The media, Republican party operatives, and agencies of the sitting United States government, have all colluded together to commit some of the most corrupt actions of political suppression in recent history, during this campaign season.  'They' say organized crime is in decline, or dead.  I say that it has simply put on more respectable clothing, and walked right into the mainstream of American life, and into our living rooms!  The actions of my party, my government and of the mainstream media during the last year have blown much of the little faith I had remaining in our political system to check its own excesses.

The Republican Party is going to lose the national election (not because the Democrats are worthy, mind you)—unless Ron Paul is nominated—based solely upon the dismal way the party machine has treated
Ron Paul.

The party has systematically suppressed Ron Paul in such blatant moves throughout the last year—consistently—all while Ron Paul's message was drawing record recruiting numbers into the lagging Republican Party!  Go figure!  The Republican Party has thus chosen to cut off its own nose to spite its face.  Even if Paul should not finally achieve the Republican nomination, a great swath of his followers might still have transferred their votes to the Republican nominee, if the Republican machine had treated Ron Paul as a 'family member' so to speak, instead of like some kind of Frankenstein in the house!  Now you can count us out!

Count me out!

Following my own state's primary, I am now leaving the Republican Party—for good.  I keep getting clueless Republican fund-raising letters from headquarters, saying that they have not heard from me since mid-2005—that they are worried they've lost my former strong support (ha ha)—and that now it is more important than ever for me to send them more money.  I am sorry; the check is not in the mail.  Not with the way you've treated Ron Paul!

What?  Did you think you could be the way you've been to one of your own candidates, and then expect his followers to loyally support your crooked machine, after you've finished crucifying him???

There's a reason I've not been heard from since mid-2005.  It is because that is when I started really waking up, and realizing the tyrannical actions being taken by the present Republican government, in the name of conservatism—in the name of America!  I kept hoping, though, even after that time, that the keener consciences in the party would take a stand to check the draconian police state mentality creeping in, at first undetected, then blatantly and high-handedly!  A check never materialized!  Those who should have known better, seemed to be mesmerized—bewitched!  I couldn't figure it out at first—now I recognize that the hypnotic influence is a vision of raw unbridled power, not unlike that which has led empires of the past to overreach until they self-destructed.

Then I discovered Ron Paul—no thanks to the media—and I hoped against hope, that Ron Paul—the voice of one crying in a desert of lost liberty—might be heeded—the only Republican voice that has given me any reason for hope, since I first woke up.  Alas!  Methinks I was wrong to give my party one more chance!

The government has taken part, as well, as I've described in former blog entries, even to the point of sicking the overbearing powers of our bloated and not always non-partisan federal justice system, on one who dared to mint a Ron Paul gold, silver and copper piece!  That is the tip of the iceberg, however, as such visible actions almost always are.  There have been many not-so-subtle whisper campaigns, as well, to insinuate that Ron Paul was a subversive, and even to attempt a correlation between Ron Paul's peaceful followers and terrorists!  And it has already been shown, how the sitting government targets dissenters, such as war protesters (and Ron Paulites???), with illegal surveillance, unwarranted investigations, secret lists, and even at times trumped up legal charges.

Why the government has been so obstinate is beyond me.  Don't they know that such overreaching always comes back to bite any government, eventually?  Their actions in recent history have simply created a broad swath of public that no longer takes what government mouthpieces say at face value—many who are now so distrustful, that it becomes difficult to trust government even when the government is acting completely straight forward!  This present government, too, has chosen to cut off its nose to spite its face.

Which brings me to the media!  You would think that the most treasured possession media outlets would want to protect, would be the trust of their viewers!  You would THINK that, but the corporate behemoth we call 'news' media, has sold its soul to the devil, in order to hold back the message of liberty at any cost!  They used to even dispute this fact (in the earlier stages of the campaign season), and just to make a show, they would once in a while allow Ron Paul a brief basking in their spotlight—just to silence critics, mind you.  But now, it seems, they don't even make any bones about how much they hate Ron Paul and the message of liberty!  If they had had their way, not even ONE American would have known Paul existed, but even without their help, they saw that at times he was 'catching' like a wildfire, and so they've done their darnedest to keep that fire localized and under control, so that they might control American democracy (yes, we are supposed to be a democracy—a democratic republic—for those who dispute our democratic nature).

Again, while they may have harmed Ron Paul's ability to be known by many Americans, what a price they have paid!  They have purchased their "power" at the expense of their credibility!  Even many of those who don't espouse Ron Paul's political views, have noted how blatant has been the media bias, and their high-handed efforts to destroy him!  Sometimes even in the debates they can scarcely hold back their biting sarcasm, and their evident demonic rage at the fact that Ron Paul stands in their spotlight against their will!  They too have chosen to cut off their noses to spite their collective face.

I used to love to watch the "news", but lately it just makes me sick to watch these bubble-heads claiming to be newscasters, but who are really political operatives for an elitist corporate agenda.  I've already blocked the Fox channel, and I am in process of eliminating all of their stock in my retirement portfolio.  But in the near future, I will probably begin saving a bundle of money, by eliminating all of my paid media services.  Yes, ALL!

The reality is that I am not alone in this attitude, and even if Elephants do forget (like Republicans have forgotten the Bill of Rights—some Donkeys, too), I can guarantee that Ron Paulites and their sympathizers will not forget this treatment by the corporate media, or which companies stood behind the manipulative treatment so unbecoming to "news" organizations.

I won't forget

You can count me out too Paul Bear. I have ever seen anything like the treatment of Ron Paul from the GOP, it ohter presidential candidates, and the MSM.

And yes, it would seem like the Republican Party doesn't have a chance in this election, but I don't underestimate their ability to turn things around given that the majority of voters are so easily distracted and lured.

As a Paul supporter, I have no candidate that I can vote for with my conscience intact. But if it comes down to McCain and Obama, I will vote for Obama only because he presents a better foreign policy, but everything else he stands for stinks or is unaffordable or both.

I certainly won't forget!

I agree with you. The longterm damage here to the Republican party and the Old Media is vastly underestimated. Seems they really think they can play fast and loose with our election process without penalty. I was never a die-hard republican but even those I know who are have been completely repulsed by the treatment Ron Paul has received. Democrats have also noticed the media tricks. I think this will cement the case against the Old Media. Not only are they totally biased; they are irrelevant to contemporary society. I guess sometimes we want to hear about Britney and Paris or what's going to be hot for Spring weddings but for News, we'll go elsewhere.

I believe the Republican party will be absolutely crushed this election if John McCain is the nominee. He is not the candidate that most Republicans wanted and the party has been forcing him on us. There may be a few that will hold their nose and vote straight Republican regardless, for the 'good of the nation' but there are a vast number of extremely alienated Ron Paul supporters that will at best abstain at worst....hmmmm tough call, Hillary or Obama. Both have issues---Hillary seems to have a few ethical irregularities in her fund raising past and Obama's ties to Africa seem a little too strong for a President. Either way McCain loses. I absolutely will never vote for him (same for Huck, but I really don't think he has a chance outside the Bible belt) From the very early polls, there was evidence that only Ron Paul could pull out a win against the Democratic frontrunners. The Republic Party is truly committing suicide on this. It's like rape and then expecting your victim to forget all about it and marry you, happily ever after kissy, kissy! It's not going to happen!!

Two bones to pick...

I've got two minor disagreements with what otherwise is a great article.

#1 Not all the Republican apparatus has been completely against Paul. At a local level some have even stood up to the apparatus to defend his right to be present. Notably I'm talking about the NH GOP which removed their sponsorship of the NH Faux Noise debate when Faux refused to reconsider the exclsuion of Paul. I'm sure there are a few other examples of Dr. Paul getting better treatment by local GOP organizations, particularly in areas where his message (if not the messenger) is well received.

#2 We are not a Democratic Republic. We are a Constitutional Republic. Pick up a copy of the US Constitution and search all you like, there will be no mention of the word "Democracy" in any of it. Why a Constitutional Republic? It's simple, because the Constitution is designed to protect us from (or mitigate the damage of)  overzealous populism and democracy. The many can and will ride roughshod over the few, and can be manipulated into doing things they shouldn't. Our Constituional Republic is designed to limit the powers of government and display glaring neon "do not touch" signs for our rights, thereby protecting us from ourselves and our neighbors.

Reply: Good point--AND

Good point about some local Republicans--there have been a few notable exceptions to the generally dismal treatment Ron Paul has received from his own party. Too bad that doesn't reach up to the national GOP level.

About the "constitutional republic" I agree, but I don't see it as an either or reality. If we were ONLY republic, then only an elite class would have a vote in the lawmaking/election process. From the very first, there was a tension among the founders of America between PURE democracy and PURE republicanism (thus our two party system?), and we were clearly designed to be a carefully balanced mixture between the two. "We the people" is clearly a democratic notion, and our government was designed to give all a voice, but the notion that "all men are created equal", and must, therefore, have equally protected rights, is a notion that, as you pointed out, requires a system to also check the excesses of populism and the inevitable tyranny of the majority. That's exactly why I'm for Ron Paul in the first place, because he wants to restore our lost checks on that tyranny, but he also seeks to check the run amok elitism, which has lately subverted much of the democratic element in our delicately balanced political system, and that NOT in compatibility with our constitution, by any stretch of the imagination.

The Mob Pales in Comparison

The Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and Constitution were all written based on Republican ideals.  The founders thought that a democracy where 51% of the population could restrict the rights of the remaiing 49% was a bad idea. That's why they called it a Republic. You wouldn't know it now looking at what is loosley referred to as the Republican Party that consists of a few that would take the rights from everyone.

All of the mafia families in the entire country don't commit the number of crimes that have been committed by the inalienable rights party in this election. Hopefully, after the election, Congress can be pressured to perform an investigation, which is about the only thing dear to their hearts.

Its a no brainer.

I mean that in the way the media provides information. You are not asked to critically think. You are expected to believe whatever the TV says.

After being involved for the past year the media on the whole has lost all credibility with me. Blatant censorship since NH primary.

My most trusted sources of information betrayed me. Lou Dobbs and Keith Olbermann. Both of em are full of it. FOX showed me just how twisted and fkd up the message they provide is. The big three are a joke.

Turn off, log on and wake up.

Don't leave just yet!

There are many Reublican Ron Paul Supporters currently becoming delegates. Please google Ron Paul Meetup "your city, state" and ask how you can participate. Counties over 80,000 population are already set, but if you live in a county under 80,000 you can be a Republican delegate.

Also, go to http://www.ultimateronpaul.com/ , scroll down to "petition" and sign to petition to Draft Ron Paul on the Libertarian ticket.

Who Else But Ron Paul?

The moment Bill Clinton was announced, "president", I had 10K uncounted ballots in the back of my car, illuminated by dozens of headlights, from CA precinct inspectors like myself, in line waiting to drop our locked boxes, to be counted.  How could Clinton be president when I witnessed several hundred thousand uncounted ballots in Los Angeles (and I'm sure every county in every western state)?  1992 I knew elections were rigged.  I found myself with thousands of others turning to consumer advocate, Ralph Nader.  It wasn't about winning elections.  It became about honest elections.  To do this, one had to "Crash The Party", no matter what party.  Ralph Nader wrote the book, while Ron Paul walked the line, saying goodbye to the Libertarian Party, and Hello GOP.  Ron Paul had a falling out with the GOP, so to speak, during Ronald Reagan's terms because RR "turned left" taking the GOP with him and leaving Ron Paul making speaches to an empty congressional hall, eating his bagged lunch alone and earning the reputation of "Dr. Know".  Oops  I meant, "Dr. No".

Meanwhile, Ralph Nader was talking about elections being bought by  corporations who were creating a duopoly.  "There is NO diference between parties", has been distorted by democrats with knee jerk defenses employing examples of comparison to Buchco and Cheneyinc, who were too busy ROTFLTAO watching Democrats consume one of their strongest protectors, Ralph Nader.  Not a second of thought did Democrats ask, "What is Nader talking about?" was certainly NOT ever published in MSM.  Recently a film came out, "Unreasonable Man", that MSM snuffed for "Inconvenient Truth" (Convenient Lie is more like it), and like, "Crashing the Party", we can all agree, Ron Paul is an unreasonable man.  Why would he refuse the leave the GOP for the sake of a educated a willing rEVOLution?

If Ralph Nader only had a rEVOLution.  My gosh...from Nader's Raiders to Ralph's rEVOLution.  But that never happened in the three elections I supported Nader.  It happened for Ron Paul.  That's significant.  MSM has a block on us.  The Internet has a block on us.  Haven't you noticed?  Haven't you noticed how it becomming hard to Google Ron Paul?  It's not hard to Google Ralph Nader, who's "Draft Nader" has him actively involved (unlike Kucinich's  draft team that are without Dennis, who like Ron Paul, is desperatly trying to hold onto his congressional seat for different excuses (reasons).

The GOP is closing shop and this is why Ron Paul ran for president.  It was a "last call".   Ron Paul believes saving the GOP and filling it with Constitutionally minded representatives is the only way to save the USA from becomming a UN NWO one world government.  The GOP closed its ballots to Independents for the first time in history this past primary election.  The GOP is financially broke in a number of states.  CA GOP owes over $3 million to a private citizen.  The GOP cancelled straw polls, sent voters Democrat ballots, messed up their own elections with fraud and reserected McCain knowing he was the first "top teir candidate that had folded".  The neocons are all bailing and Bush is planning on leaving the nation.

The NWO (rather the genocidal UN NWO) does not need a GOP or constitutions with sovreign nation protecting all people with a bill of rights and defendable borders.  It gets in the way of proffitting off misery and creating a one world government.

Does it really matter to you if it's a black man or a white woman or man as your dictator?  Not me.  You can't lead me into voting for a dictator no matter what color or flavor, so I'm with Ron Paul unless by some miracle there's an independnent out there who get the rEVOLution and picks up the yoke.

I Absolutely Refuse to Vote for 'the Lesser of 2 Evils'

Some may say I'm wasting my vote, however, I disagree. Since when did voting for the person that you truly believe to be the right choice for President become a "wasted vote"  I changed my party from NPA (No Party Affiliation) to Republican so I could vote for Ron Paul in my state's (Florida) Primary, which I did vote for Ron Paul.  So, if Ron Paul doesn't make it to the General Elections ballot, I will still be voting for Ron Paul, period.  I absolutely refuse to vote for the lesser of 2 evils.  I will only vote for the ONLY pure candidate and that candidate is Dr. Ron Paul.  As far as I'm concerned the Democrats and Republicans both have failed to protect "We the People" Both Parties for the most part have failed to protect and to uphold the Constitution. I will be very soon switching back to NPA.  I cannot and will not tolerate being classified as a failed party.

At the local level, I've read nothing but good things

about the Ron Paul movement from Republicans; not only NH, but LA and SC as well. There's a good reason for that. The GOP has indeed been bleeding away activists over the past 4 years (just compare the primary turnout with that on the Democratic side.) The Ron Paul Revolution has been the only countertrend; the only mass movement of people into the Republicans recently. The Revolutionaries are already a big chunk of grassroosts Party, 10-25% going by Paul's caucus results; and they'll be an even bigger chunk if the party nominates McCain/Romney and goes down to a Goldwater-style defeat with them.

It's hard for the Revolutionaries to not be depressed, but if they stay in there will be long-term rewards. Control of the Party by 2010, and a real chance at the GOP nomination (perhaps with Paul, perhaps a successor) in 2012.

Screw the mainstream media

I was a former news junkie. Now I search for my news online in Ron Paul Friendly forums. I will not be getting cable with any major news networks on them.

I also will be joining breakthematrix.com new endeavor to provide us with a better news outlet.

I will also not forget the people who rigged this election. From Republican to Democrat they will NOT be getting my vote of support.
