Tell A Friend

I believe we can all agree that the past seven years have been pure Hell (and I mean Hell of the most Satanic form).

There is no way that the Democratic candidates running for president (even Kucinich) could do everything we want to bring us back to where we were before Bush took office and wreaked havoc on our nation.

That said, I recently came across a comment, which caught my attention:

Kucinich would be like the guy standing at his front door while two armed burglars tried to force their way in--trying to talk them into gun control.  I agree with his economics, but the real job right now is for everyone to get together around the word "freedom."  Without the freedom, you can never get the social policies you want without violent revolution.  Cry freedom, or cry revolution, because there is no in between.  We have a constitutional basis to attain freedom peaceably.  We do not have such a basis to attain just economic and social policy against impending fascism without violence.  We can convince Americans to vote for freedom.  We cannot convince them to vote for socialism.

That's a reasonable argument arguing that even though Kucinich might reform the economy, he will never restore the 2nd amendment in America so people can really have the right to bear arms or revolt as the Founding Fathers "intended" and so he will never vote for Kucinich.

But to this person, I ask, "What would you like to see done ideally speaking by the next president and in what order would you like these things done in?"

I open this up to all of OpEdNews.

If Obama, Clinton, Edwards, or Kucinich was elected, ideally what would you like he or she to do as president and in what order?

Create a to-do list.

Would you like the next president to restore civil liberties before moving towards energy independence?

Would you like the next president to fix the immigration problem before making sure Roe v. Wade is not threatened?

Would you like the economy to be fixed before the media is reformed?

I doubt any of us will agree but through our disagreements I am sure we will learn something. And who knows, there may be more similarities in our lists than we could have ever expected

After seven years of what I will call "this shit" (excuse me), I think we deserve to have one of those communal hippie-ish moments here where we get all dreamy and wishy-washy all because we believe in freedom, peace, and sustainability in America's future.

If we didn't believe things should and in fact could be better, we wouldn't write here and comment. We would just vegetate in front of the boob tube.

Right?

I look forward to your lists. Thanks.

FRIST THINGS FRIST

NOW THAT ALL THE TOP TIER CANDIDATES FROM BOTH PARTY'S ARE EITHER CFR MEMBERS OR ARE FUNDED BY THE TC GLOBALIST, ANY LIST I MADE WOULD BE USED IN THE OVAL OFFICE BATH ROOM . WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR PEOPLE TO REALIZE THAT WE THE PEOPLE DON;T HAVE A VOICE IN CONGRESS OR OUR GOVERNMENT ANY MORE OR MAYBE NEVER DID. CAN YOU SEE THIS, OUR NEXT PRESIDENT IS ALREADY PICKED BY THE GLOBALIST, AND THIS ELECTION, SORRY I MEAN" CONTEST" IS JUST FOR THE GLOBALIST TO PICK ONE OF THEIR PLAYERS THAT ARE MOST APEALING TO THE SHEEP. THIS WILL GIVE THEM SOME HARMANITY TO COMPLEAT THEIR 2010 AGENDA. IF WRONG I WILL GO TO THE WORLD TRADE CENTER TWIN TOWERS AND JUMP OFF. WITH A PARACUTE OF COURSE.

SORRY DID MEAN TO OFFEND

JUST TRYED TO PUT REALITY IN THE MIX, YOU HAVE TO ADMET THE NEXT PRESIDENT IN NOT GOING TO BE PICKED BY WE THE PEOPLE, IF SO IT WOULD BE DENNIS, RON , GRAVL, AND THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, SO WE HAVE TO PICK FROM THE GLOBALIST LIST PROVIDED TO US. SO WHEN ELECTED DO YOU THINK THAT WE CAN HAND THEM A GROCERY LIST AND THEY WE JUST GLADLY FILL IT. WE ARE FAST APPROACHING THE TIME OF THE ULTIMATE INVERSION; THE TIME WHERE THE GOVERNMENT IS FREE TO DO ANYTHING IT PLEASES, WHILE THE CITIZENS MAY ACT ONLY WITH PERMISSION; WHICH IS THE TIME OF THE DARKEST PERIODS OF HUMAN HISTORY, THE TIME OF RULE BY BRUTE FORCE.

Priorities

From the inauguration podium, the new president should pardon all those convicted of all nonviolent "crimes" and announce that this would be policy from now on.  This should effectively end the "War on Drugs" for the term of the administration.

Also instantly, the president should order that American troops stationed all over the globe return to the duty in the United States, without exception.

Next, he or she should stop any payments or other aid to prop up bloody dictators.

These would be effective in subduing much of the bloodshed of the US government, but only temporarily, of course.  The new president, therefore, should make it his or her top legislative priority to make these changes law.

I'm supporting Dennis Kucinich for President.

List

The first thing the next president should do is end the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. Second is shut down the concentration camp at Guantanamo, Cuba. Third is withdraw from free trade agreements and the WTO. Also while these things are happening the President should order that the Bush administration be captured and prosecuted for their crimes. The President then must demand that Congress repeal the USA Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, and any other legislation that violates civil rights and liberties. Next the president must start an independent investigation of 911. The president must also call for an end to the Federal Reserve or put the bank under government control and ownership. Finally the President should request a Constitutional Convention open to the public in order to reform the Constitution or if necessary create a new Constitution.

Kucinich

Kucinich is pro freedom and although he supports some gun control he does support the right to bear arms and the right for people to defend themselves. He is not a pacifist.

Add the Citizen Amendments to the US Constitution

It is likely that the only way to get representative government back is to organize like the civil rights movement. This is the only time our government makes any attempt to represent the people. They are afraid of a rebellion like the American Revolution.

If you want Congress to Represent YOU instead of Special Interests, Vote YES for the Citizen Amendments.
Get your FREE copy at www.citizenamendments.org

Also Checkout the National Initiative for Democracy and then vote on it. It will give the people the right to a National Initiative.

First, thank the people

These are troubled times and so many have worked to help decipher the questions. So, regardless of which candidate it is, that person must tell us we count. It's an FDR "all we have to fear is fear itself" moment. Any president has to ride the seesaw between foreign and domestic policies. This time, a roller coaster might be a better example. To demilitarize is to throw people out of work, and it is now apparent that jobs will be top priority before the new administration even takes over.

Already, Republicans and some congresspersons are proposing stopgap measures to prop up the economy. I, for one, will take whomever we get for president, but in the meantime I want to help the voter to see that there are big issues to face before November 4. Thus, rather than being stuck for one candidate to deliver us out of the mess we are in, I think we should stick with the issues. Thanks for asking the question.
