For the past 2 1/2 years, Justanothercoverup has repeatedly attempted to warn everyone that war with Iran was the ultimate goal of the Bush administration, even though they state they are attempting to pursue diplomacy, and seem to imply that war is the last resort in solving the Iranian crisis. I’ve been branded as “reactionary” and accused of sensationalism as I’ve doggedly refused to accept Bush’s rhetoric at face value, because in my heart and call it a “gut feeling” if you wish, I knew that Bush and Cheney had no intention of realistically pursuing peace - which is what the majority of Americans are seeking, along with most of the international community. The facts and stories that substantiated my suspicions were everywhere, albeit well-hidden unless you chose to dig through a host of different sources.
Unfortunately, Bush’s latest irresponsible statements are an indication we were right from the beginning, and now that the rest of the world has taken notice of Bush’s intentions - and become alarmed at rhetoric that could easily escalate the Middle-East crisis, he has inadvertently provided indisputable evidence that Justanothercoverup was correct in our belief that war was Bush’s ultimate goal. Taken at face value, his statements are absurd, and rather than looking at the Middle-East as a whole, our narrow-minded President has focused on Iran - when to anyone that keeps abreast of world politics is aware that Iran is far less of a danger than Pakistan - which is a major US ally!
Yesterday, RAW Story ran an article where Air America’s Rachel Maddow asserted that Bush believes World War III is “worth Starting” over Iran’s nuclear capability - albeit based on a rationale and logic that is utterly absurd: (excerpts to follow)

“What he’s saying is that World War III is worth starting, if only over the issue of Iran’s nuclear know-how (emphasis added) — not even over the issue just of them having weapons,” Maddow stated,
“Right now probably the most anti-American country on earth is Pakistan,” Maddow continued. “Pakistan not only has a nuclear weapon but has demonstrated that they will proliferate that technology on the black market. The idea that Iran would be cause for World War III but Pakistan’s no big worry to us is psychotic.”
Iranian leaders have stated many times that they are not pursuing nuclear weapons and that their nuclear program is strictly for peaceful purposes, a claim endorsed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The International Atomic Energy Agency also agrees there is no sign of an Iranian nuclear weapons program and is currently working with Iran to resolve outstanding questions about its activities. I don’t have a crystal ball, nor do I have any “inside information” in regard this issue, however, researching the documentation and international news releases that are a matter of public record, and compiling several incidents and news releases in a manner that indicates Bush and Cheney’s goal is an attack on Iran is something that anyone could have accomplished by simply connecting the various indicators that diplomacy has so far been a farce, and in fact, from the perspective of attempting to reach a solution that is acceptable to all has been derailed by the President’s insistence that we don’t negotiate with terrorists - even when those alleged terrorists are a nation rather than a terrorist group such as Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Hamas. I also believe that negotiating with terrorist factions that receive their marching orders from a third party is essentially a waste of time; negotiating with a sovereign country is not, and I find it ludicrous that we only negotiate with ally’s rather than those who could possibly be convinced through diplomacy and sanctions that a change of course is beneficial to their own country as well as the world community.
If we refuse to negotiate with a genuine spirit of attempting to resolve issues that could lead to war, or as President Bush has stated, “World War III”, it demonstrates that Bush is not interested in actually solving the problem before war becomes the only option the United States has in solving the crisis. If we don’t negotiate with our enemies - then what is the purpose and mission of the State Department? Historically, throughout the Bush administration’s tenure in office, Condoleezza Rice has accomplished little, if nothing, in using the powers of negotiation to diffuse many of the obstacles we face in the world theater of potential “hot spots.” There has been ample evidence that Secretary Rice favors diplomacy over conflict, however recent revelations indicate she has been effectively overruled by Dick Cheney, Bush’s warmongering Rottweiler and most ardent supporter of war as the only solution to the Iranian crisis. The latest information that is available demonstrates that Cheney is prevailing over Secretary Rice, and once again in the Bush White House, reason and logic are superseded by fanaticism and Cheney’s never-ending goal to expand America’s control over the rich oilfields of the Middle-East.
The recent comments Bush has made in regard World War III, which were obviously aimed at Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin,
are perhaps the most dangerous and provocative remarks this Presidency has ever made, and thankfully, Dennis Kucinich had the courage to publicly state his opposition and offer a commentary on rhetoric that at best was irresponsible, and at worst, may cause Russia to believe that Bush is intent on War, whether Iran possesses nuclear weapons or not - and Russia may now view Bush as a security risk to Russia itself:
Kucinich charges President has gone ‘too far’ and ‘too close’ to igniting war
WASHINGTON, DC - By raising the specter of a possible World War III predicated on Iran’s nuclear energy ambitions, “the White House rodeo cowboy has gone dangerously too far and precipitously too close to igniting the war he claims to be trying to avoid,” Ohio Congressman and Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said today.
“You can worry about the Apocalypse, or, you can ensure it by manipulating intelligence and, with pre-meditation, put your finger on the trigger that will make Iran the next deadly domino in the President’s irresponsible and irrational approach to the complex and sensitive political issues that make the region a more volatile tinder box than ever before,” Kucinich said.
“The President told the media yesterday that this wasn’t his first rodeo,” Kucinich said. “It’s also not the first time he’s invoked the potential of another world war to bolster support for his monumentally failed foreign policy. Any leader who, either off the cuff or intentionally, conjures up rodeo analogies to defend himself is far beyond colorful, albeit inarticulate aphorisms. Those horsemen he pridefully alludes to are not from a rodeo, they are the horsemen of the Apocalypse. And he must be stopped before unleashing them.”
Kucinich continued, “If the President continues policies that fuel the extremists in Iraq because of our continued occupation, and if he continues rallying support in Congress for possible aggression against Iran, he is purposely fulfilling his own prophesy and sentencing this nation and its brave sons and daughters to a war that never ends and a newer, bigger war that will be even more horrific.” MORE
