Time to Quit Playing Impeach Games with Conyers & Pelosi

Tell A Friend

If WE IN THE Anti-War and Peace and Justice groups like United For Peace and Justice really want to Stop The Iraq War Killing and have Impeachment there is one last thing we can do.

ATTACK THE CANDIDACY OF ALL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMEN

WHO ARE NOT stopping the funding for the Iraq war and

WHO ARE NOT Supporting Holding Impeachment Hearings.

Who are in tight races with their Republican opponents.

Wake up folks.

We Iraq War protesters were a big help to the House Dems in giving them control in 2006 and They have Ignored Us Since on the War and on Impeachment.

Conyers is playing games with us to assure his retirement.Pelosi laughs at us.

WE NEED TO ACT And To SPEAK TO THE Congressional DEMOCRATS in the only language that they are guaranted to understand.

By Opposing the Democratic Congressional or Senatorial Candidates in every tight race in every State we will get their immediate attention.

THREATEN to take away Pelosi's position as Speaker and She Will Get The Message... before the November Election.

Same for Senator Reid.

You say, well then the Rupublicans might be back in power.

I'm willing to risk that If There Is a Chance we can get the attention and cooperation of the House Democrats on Impeachment prior to the election. After November they will ignore us completely.

They then will have accomplished House Speaker Pelosi's goal, to diminish completely the power of truly progressive and liberal anti-war activists.

Anyhow, there is no difference now with the Democrats in charge than there was with the GOP in charge of the House and Senate. They give Bush almost everything he wants.

Agree

I agree with you although I think we should oppose all lousy Democrats whether they're in a tight race or not.

Reply: The House Dems will impeach if we threaten their majority

The strategy is to seek out House Democrats all across the US who are in tight races and campaign against them, not against any Democrat in a safe seat..

The idea is to threaten to take away Pelosi's position as Speaker of the House by threatening to take the majority away from the Democrats.

This includes campaigning against Democratic Congressman who are running for the US Senate.

The Democratic Party elders will get on board with impeachment immediately if there are anti-war and peace and justice groups all across America that are openly challenging all Democrats that are in tight races.

We are few in numbers, so don't waste your energy challenging Democrats in extremely safe seats.

Find one or two Democrats in each state that are expected to win by only a slim margin of votes.

Then You Have The Power. Use it. Be at every public event.

Yell out Congressman XYZ won't protect the Constitution, XYZ enables Bush and Cheney, XYZ refuses to hold Cheney accountable. Find harsh words.

Do anti-Congressman XYZ vigils in front of his office weekly. invest the time it takes. The future of our County is at stake. The bastards will get away with it if you and I do not do this.

LEAVE ALL ANTI-WAR SIGNS AT HOME. USE ONLY ANTI-Congressman XYZ signs. Put all the negativity on the Congressman. It is not about the War anymore, we lost that battle when Congress started to ignore us after the 2006 election. It is only about taking their  House (and Senate) Majority away from the Democrats.

We have tried everything else.

This will work but you must be HARD ON THEM!

---

One other thing. We are gambling. And We don't want the Republicans getting control again anytime soon SO...

when the Democrats agree to push impeachment be ready to switch gears and carry signs for the Congressman you almost put out of the race.

You/We can do this.

On the recent Anniversary of the start of the Iraq War

United For Peace and Justice put over 700 acitvist groups

on street corners all across the Country all on one day.

There is no way that UFPJ cannot handle this challenge if

they "really want" to stop the killing.

Do they?

..

Oppose all incumbents against Impeachment

It is not just a Democrat thing but a Republican one also.  All Congresspersons who oppose or refuse to support impeachment proceedings against Cheney/Bush should be voted against and hopefully out of office.  This is something we need to do to remove all incumbents after 2 terms anyway.  If they will not enact a 2 term limit then we must.  It is the only way that we can regain control of our presumed representatives in Congress.  It will do no good to attack just one party when it is both parties that are screwing us!  These people need to be removed from now until We, the people, once again have some control of our government.  We are after all a Democratic Republic and it is the responsibility of every voter to exercise their rights and vote to win back our freedoms from the administration and Congress that have taken them.  If we fail to do this then the horrible consequences that await us will surely do us in.
