Impeach the lot and start again
Rob Kall in his opening blurb was reflecting on the West's fascination with the trivial and lamentably he's correct. While the pop vox show that Chenney should go...I would add they all should go and start again this news is little more than "fancy that". Nothing is going to happen that wouldn't happen anyway. The White house will ignore it. The GOP will ignore it if it's in their interest to do do. The talkback radio knuckle walking Austropethines will continue to spew their bile because it's in their interest and their natural selection escapees audience will nod and agree with simplistic solutions to complex issues (not necessarily at the same time dual activities seemed to be reserved for their elite few). The Dems having expended so much energy getting where they are won't jeopardize all this with a change now. It isn't your reporting that bothers me it is just that it is another layer of noise. This is much like saying it should rain soon. So what surely it's what we can do with this information that is more inportant. Not just with, or preferably to the down home dictatorship but with the fundemental problems with the system. If the US doesn't then it's an odd on bet in 8 years or so we'll have the same issues. I say we because experience shows where you go much of the Western world gets sucked. I read extensively on US blog sites, newspapers etc and yet most articles are tut tut or which 'band aid' myopic micro analysis (naval gazing) will we apply now. Reporting of popularity contests should be augmented with directions. Ideally the Pop quizes should include directions not just push polling or popularity stakes. What is clearly needed radical surgery. Bold Plans and ideas. by Andris (4 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 531 comments) on Friday, Jul 6, 2007 at 5:45:58 PM

I wonder why this poll was produced and
if now that it has been other polls will come out on the same topic if only to check the veracity of this one. Its good to see some figures finally come out after the drought. Figures like these might just help some representatives find their own spines. What they won't do "support the constitution" because they have merely sworn to and are merely obliged to by the constitution and on their honor, maybe they will do because its become popular. by Brett Paatsch (0 articles, 3 quicklinks, 23 diaries, 1308 comments) on Saturday, Jul 7, 2007 at 3:28:16 AM

Cheney no Boy Scout
Isn't it odd that once the war started, we no longer had a problem with ANTHRAX? The universal thinking at the time, was that it was coming from Saddam. We know, now, that it was a US product. Would the administration sacrifice a few American lives to get a war in Iraq started. Maybe those 15 minutes Bush was thinking, "Forget about anthrax, we've now got the excuse to take Saddam out. by Dale Hill (59 articles, 0 quicklinks, 107 diaries, 350 comments) on Saturday, Jul 7, 2007 at 11:38:19 AM
