How to Recognize a Human Scumbag

by Daniel Geery     Page 1 of 1 page(s)

www.opednews.com

Tell A Friend

Oftentimes you just have to listen to what they say. They say things like, "We need more young people like you to go halfway around the world and kill other young people like you." Human scumbags can also be detected because they frequently use words like honor and valor and courage, heroism and patriotism and sacrifice, to make you feel less than human if you don't want to go get your ass blown off, or have fun blowing someone else's off, even those of totally innocent women and children.

The scumbags might go so far as to tell you you'll be "in harm's way," which means someone will most definitely be trying to blow your ass off. If it's someone on your own side, it's not so bad though, because then it's called "friendly fire," and they probably didn't really mean to blow your ass off.

Of course, these scumbags don't really care one way or the other. The truth is they couldn't care less. They just need to keep the killing going, so more weapons can be produced, and then large military contracts can be handed out to Big Scumbag Companies. Like Halliburton, Lockheed, Boeing, Raytheon, Bechtel, and a whole bunch of others.

Human scumbags are in the pockets of these companies, you see, and their job is to pretty much wreck the world, so Big People in those companies can buy their own planes, fancy boats, large mansions, and send their kids to big name schools. And the scumbags might later get good jobs with those Big Companies when they get out of office, so they can lean on the new scumbags in office to drum up more trouble somewhere else in the world, and keep the Money Machine rolling along. Or it could go the other way-a scumbag might start in one of those companies and end up in public office, and send lots of money towards his old Big Company. Dick Cheney is a good example of this kind of scumbag.

Young people like you are very important because the scumbags don't dare go fight any battles of their own. Hell, no! They wouldn't dare! They'd much rather take someone like yourself and have you maimed for life, or blown to bits by a hand grenade, or dead and buried in any number of possible ways. Then they'll cry even more, and holler louder that they need more strong young men and women to go trash their lives, and as many others as possible, so the scumbags who run these Big Companies can fatten up their bank accounts. They'll even pay uneducated scumbags with Big Mouths, like Sean Hannity, millions of dollars a year to drum up business from young people willing to listen to them.

I'll finish today's lesson with one more example, using a quote as it appeared online yesterday:

"A day after Bush's prime time speech from the White House [beating the war drums to flush out 20,000 more young people like you], the Senate's top Republican threatened a filibuster to block any legislation expressing disapproval of the [enlarged war] plan. 'Obviously, it will ... require 60 votes,' said Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., as senior administration officials made the case for Bush's new policy in Congress [to maim and kill more humans to make more money for the Big Boys], at news briefings and on the morning television programs."

Here's what that very scumbag looks like, happy and enthused to be sending young men and women like yourself into the Bowels of Hell.

As a final note, one I suggest you highlight and memorize, when you hear scumbags talking, you should turn around and run the other way, as fast as you can. Change your name, live in another country for a while, take a long trip into what's left of nature, sail around the world, lay low, and sooner or later (hopefully) the storm will blow over and you can live like a human once again.

Lying to the fish

http://www.opednews.com/maxwrite/diarypage.php?did=971 I wrote the above dairy last year. I think, we are on the same tune as the author.

Well Said, Daniel

I could not agree more with your message. You have laid it out in clear simple terms that anyone can understand. We are surrounded by scumbags masquerading as public servants and people must learn to tell them apart. Charles Sullivan

Yup

OK are you trying to usurp my title as the rudest leftist on this site? One must never forget that these 'scumbags' can only flourish in a capitalist system that puts the welfare of corporations above the welfare of its citizens.

Scumbag Photo Moment

So, after going on four years, I finally get the local daily to pay a little attention to me and OpEdNews. THey send a photographer over to get a picture of me- in front of the computer, with the website up. And there it is, a main headline Scumbag I looked at it, gulped, looked at the photographer, thought to myself, and then asked the photographer... "Will that show up?" I asked, pointing to the word 'Scumbag.' I breathed a sigh of relief when she said no. Frankly, scumbag is one of the words I usually self censor-- usually using a word that dubya's sperm provider George Herbert Walker Bush used-- Slime Ball. But I checked and did a search. I have used it a few times. Frankly, when I saw the picture of McConnell, it resonated with me. What a perfect fit. He goes beyond slime, down to scum. They should send him back to one of the backwoods hollers that he and his supporters came out of. Anyway, the photo session went okay. I even wore a jacket and tie... with jeans and sneakers.

Reply: Glad you pulled through!

I was actually a little concerned about the language, but my fears were allayed after checking dictionary.com and noting that the second definition was precisely what I had in mind--though I suspect it's derived from the first!

Reply: LOL

Hey send a copy of your newspaper to Pelosi,Rob :0) I can picture it now, you in your suit and jacket rubbing elbows with Pelosi. Good choice of words Daniel, Bush clearly can't be trusted to lead, he is so close to escalating the war in the middle east beyond the borders of Iraq, that I'm even hearing the media finally wake up to it.

I have a problem with your language

...it's insulting to scumbags everywhere. Prophylactics perform a noble job, preventing unwanted pregnancies and are offered in many festive colors. Perhaps there is a better term to represent the neo-con leadership trying so hard to use US soldiers as fuel to be burned in a political bonfire. My suggestion would be "deathmongering fascist criminals"...

This is a comment

Dear Daniel, Great article. These people give us normal scumbags a bad name. They give scum a bad name. What's cum? Anyway the world has been filled with evil, lying, satanic, whoremongering warmongers since the beginning of time. King David goes on and on about it in the psalms. He opens up the first psalm talking about the wicked, the evil, the mockers the scoffers. I think that it would be really great if you or Rob ran for President. It would give a voice to people like all of us at opednews who actually stand for the peace loving moderate majority. Imagine debating John McCain and calling him a scumbag. Longshots have won before. The sperm that made me was one in a billion rushing for the egg and slipping by the condom. It's too bad that the only politician who speaks the truth drove his car into a river drunk and left his lover of the night in there to drown. And its too bad the scumbags to whom you reefer killed both of his brothers. Anyway this comment is turning into more of an article and I forgot what I was talking about. something about the hilarity of the local photogagraphess finally coming out and Rob's headline said scumbag. Poetic justice. I think that's the coolest thing.

Don't forget Laura

Daniel, let us say the "Halliburton, Lockheed, Boeing, Raytheon, Bechtel, and a whole bunch of others" are members of Bush's bootee tribe and brothers of incest. George, just refers to them as a stiff throbbing pain in the behind from the Patriot missiles they launch that he tells Laura it was necessary and a duty to for his country. Of course Laura enjoys watching the boys together in harmony, she fills the bond between them will buy her luxurious vacations in tropical retreats away from George. On the Island she visits, she frequents a club I think they call Tiffany's male dancers or something.
