Another Ron Paul blowout .. And Bill O'Rielly's trolley jumps the track !
Well he did it again !

Ron Paul's performance last night on the Fox (in the hen house) debate resulted on a total blowout for him according to MSNBC's latest poll.

Now before you start screaming that all his supporters are flooding the polls and tilting the tables, lets examine that argument.

While it may seem to have merit on the face of it, if you accept that premise, then what you are saying (in effect) is that ALL the other candidates, and ALL of their staffs, and ALL of their supporters, are either too stupid, or too lazy to log in and make their presence felt.

Now given that many, if not most of them are much more well financed and have considerably larger staffs and tons of volunteers at their disposal, how do you account for the fact that only Congressman Paul's numbers are so far ahead of the pack?
Have the main stream media somehow 'stacked the poll' in his favor ? Hardly ! It took the impact of the people's wrath to even get him included in the polls to start with!

Are his supporters somehow more intelligent or tech savvy then those of the other candidates? Well much as I would like to think so, the truth of the matter is that voting in the MSNBC poll is not rocket science, hell even my mother could do it !

No I'm sorry, I just can't accept all the lame arguments about Mr. Paul's clear and decisive lead in the 'people's poll'. However I would like to offer another possibility which may just account for the unexpected lead that Ron Paul has demonstrated in the past two polls now.

Maybe, just maybe, the people watching the debates were not as brain dead as the political machines thought they were, and were able to tell the difference between a bunch of tired old political re-treads and hacks parroting the same old lines they were fed by their handlers, and a man with a clear vision of what is wrong with this country, and maybe, just maybe, they thought Dr. Paul has the right prescription to treat this country's ills !

Now there's a concept that probably scares the living you know what out of these 'Elites' that decide who will and who wont run this country.

Democracy ! Whatta concept ! America ! Whatta Country !

And speaking of the media Elites ...

Well folks, it looks like the progressive brain disease obviously affecting Bill O'Rielly must be entering into the final terminal stages !

In the video below, O'Rielly cuts off a very polite caller and threatens that caller for 'mentioning' Keith Olberman's name and instructs anyone calling into his show that "We have your phone number and it will be turned over to Fox security and it will be sent to the local police and you will be receiving a visit from them."

Now bear in mind that this guy hadn't said anything even remotely 'offensive' or 'threatening' and yet I suppose that anything he doesn't like is grounds for turning the gestapo loose on you.

It kinda makes me wonder .. Are you sure O'Rielly isn't Bush's long lost brother ?

Bill is a member of the post war ‘baby boom’ after WWII, and came of age during the civil rights struggle of the 50’s and 60’s, and the Vietnam War soon thereafter. The assassination of Jack Kennedy made a huge impact on him and his doubts about the ‘official’ explanation launched him into a lifelong search for the truth which has taken him down many paths, from Zen Buddhism to a two year study of the Koran at the Islamic Center in Wash. DC . In 1984 this self proclaimed ‘intellectual atheist’ had what could only be described as profound ‘Damascus Road’ experience which was to change his spiritual life forever. With the advent of the internet, his search really went into high gear, and after 911, it accelerated even more. Now living in rural Alaska with his best friend ‘Buddy’ (his red nosed pit-bull) he has traded a career as a computer consultant for simpler way of life and when he’s not hunting, fishing, or chopping firewood for the wood stove, he continues this search, peeling back the layers of the onion and shining in the light of the truth and watching the enemy squirm.

Good for a laugh

Ron Paul servers two useful purposes, he gets a good laugh from much of the audience, and he keeps the hard-right off balance, by bringing up points that Republicans never heard before.

Giuliani said in the debate with Paul (although I think Rudy was lying again) that he "never heard" of the idea that we were attacked by Muslims on September 11th because we had military bases in the Middle East. It's good for misinformed Republicans who get their info from O’Reilly to hear the truth, even though it isn’t going to change their minds.

Ron Paul will never win the primary, so stop even thinking about it.

Plus, if there is one thing we don’t need in this country now it’s a “libertarian Republican’ as president. I think the Repugs have done more than enough deregulation of USDA, FDA and other agencies for now. It’s time to ratchet the regulations back up, until we can be reasonably assured that our food and medicines are relatively safe.

Republicans vs Conservatives

Historically, American voters have hedged their bets with some successes.  They have voted for a Democrat President and Republican Congress or a Republican President and a Democrat Congress. This tends to activate the checks and balances that the founding fathers considered a necessary if not sufficient mandate for the success of the government they created.  The Republican rank and file will find it difficult to vote for any of the Conservatives' list of front runners and might deal their highnesses a surprise come the primary elections.  Paul could well be their candidate, like it or not.

Is Ron Paul a No.# I.... Shoo-in ? Only if he ..

Ron Paul has stayed Consistent in both Action and word. How many In our ''divided ?'' congress can Claim this distinction ? Sadly, too few. I'''''m not a Republican. I Thought I was a Democrat for most of my years. ..But was a registered Independent. Until Ross Perot !! Having turned so against anything Repub...( Since the bush-era ) I have been Simply searching for the BEST man for the Job. It appears WE have found him in Ron Paul. I still have some doubts about casting my very dear vote for a Republican, tho... ( Even a man who seems to be the first 'straight and Narrow' candidate being presented, thus far !) Ron, Can you assure Us Doubting Thomases in this country that YOU really ARE a Man of your word..and will stick with the onvictions you have so strongly conveyed to us ? I do take note of the fact that your ''financial backing does not begin to add up to the others lined up for the Slot of President. BUT I do not believe Money..or the lack of it is going to hold you back...or deter your intent, at all. Anyone who Was willing to Put themselves into the 'low-blowing'company you did..on Fox ..and CNN.. just Because It could be used as a 'means to Get your Message out...Has to be pretty well Charged Up ! ( hopefully..enough to Get you Over the Finish line !) Can you Give us true patriots who think as your do.. just a bit more insight into your long-term plans for this country..once you do become our President ? Keeping in mind that 85% of the citizens of this country..are Not willing to Just settle for someone who is a little better than what is there now who is presently 'enjoying' a rating of about 20 % ..[ one that I suspicion, is derived from his own people who stand to lose big time when he loses ! !) Are you tempted to change your affiliation, knowing how Turned off most electorates have become..to anything that smacks of a republican flavor ? Good Luck, Ron Paul... Don't ever back down to any weasel who would Like nothing better than to put you in a box and ship you off to a desert island, and all because you are not afraid to Speak The Truth ! We will Keep our Eyes On YOU. VGF

Tripped up again

The Ron Paul nutburgers have already admitted to try to phone-spam Sean Hannity's show on Friday. And they have sabotaged the Paul poll over at Little Green Footballs. So of course, they have spammed the MSNBC poll. Shot down in flames, son.

Beware Voters.

I think Mike Gravel is a better choice. At least the party will change in the White House, and take power away from the Corporate slobs. Ron Paul could be a Bush decoy saying the opposite of all his opposition to gain the nomination, and follow the Bush doctrine in Iraq. We remember how Bush was such a sweet talker even mentioning the lord in his debate, and he became the exact opposite to what we were expecting. why should we take a chance with R.Paul. It would be a Rovian trick. Beware Voters.
