Something is desperately wrong when federal employees (no, they are NOT Bush Disciples!!) act on behalf of a political party and are ARROGANT enough to openly ADMIT IT!!! My mother worked 37 years for the Air Force Civil Service. As a manager, she would never have tolerated that crap...and as a sworn government official, would never considered such a violation of her oath. Politics as a career is just not compatible with democracy any longer.
Term limits and real time for political, white collar crimes...and while we're at it, let's seize all their property like we do drug dealers (big corporations also...that's why these companies have Boards of Directors -- to decide if they will operate as criminals or not! No Mystery...a choice). If by democracy's good graces one can not make a decent living and chooses another course, then he/she/it certainly should not be rewarded for robbing it.
I have first-hand experience donating money to a candidate with his guarentee that we agree on the issue, but given the opportunity, he voted a lie (the Ohio election butt-fuck of minority voters) that might give him favor in the upper eschelon of the Democratic Party. His challenger is even more disgusting. Politically I think 2006 could be a very disappointing year. I don't like anybody.
Oath I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
5 U.S.C. §3331
Some selected oaths our appointed, elected, or just hired federal employees must take upon acceptance of their responsibility to the American people and the Constitution in exchange for decent wages, benefits, and other civil/human rights.

This is but a tip of the iceberg; make a list of traitors
I always admired the Amanda Lang's articles. This one, very short but exactly up to the point: we have bad cadres. But as I said before in many of my articles, it is a part of the Bush's junta agenda- to develop a corps of people in power totally loyal to them and only to them, no matter what is the qualification. This is like forming your own SS. In fact, that what it is supposed to be called- making a fascist core. So, we should make it loud and clear: a person, who derelicts his/her duty to the service on the basis of loyalty to the particular individual or a group is a fascict, Nazi cadre and has to be called as such. Such person has to be put on the appropriate list and that list has to be published.
So... start it with Hilary Clinton, the Wicked Witch of the South who shamelessly called Bush ' charming and charismatic' Charismatic, my ass.

1. Pact, indeed! The sad part of the article is that I believe this idiot would have the same odious response to that contractor if our president were named Clinton. Either way, it is (would be) still an idiotic and dangerous belief. Yes, this is an appointee, but the appointment is to serve the citizens of the United States. Regardless of the statement that he believed the contractor must support Bush, I read it that any contractor must support any president in power. Very frightening.

However much it hurts my heart and soul to say this, we have to be so careful when dealing with government employees. To many of them believe, and have always believed, that their little position gives them a power over any citizen not so employeed. Before I get misunderstood, No, I Am Not Blaming The Victim. I once had a drivers' license employee sneer as he told me, "Well, you passed," with the definite meaning of, "I don't see how." What if I had said I didn't like someone he supported? It should be not even be a concern, but it is - a little power gives some an enlarged head without the brains to fill that new empty space. Especially employees and the appointed of any government entity.

In other countries this has another name: provocateur. In Russia it is called Zubatovshina- the practice of creating fake organizations under the umbrella of the democracy, whatever. Hey, guess what, those organizations were usually created by Secret Police. Congrats, people, we have all the attributes of the totalitarism in place.
