Like a rabid bear being smoked from its lair, America's most dangerous unindicted criminal Dick ' Iraq resistance in its last throes ' Cheney has been forced out of his self imposed bunker by the " Scooter " Libby trial revelations that Cheney himself ( as predicted here three years ago ) was personally involved in an effort to try to discredit a critic of the Iraq War ~ U.S. Envoy Joseph Wilson.
The Pandora's box of Cheney/Bush abuses of power is starting to open ~ and virtually all of its deceptions and scandals begin with Cheney
Here's another perfect example ~ courtesy of the American Progress Report.
IRAQ ~ ROCKEFELLER SAID CHENEY EXERTED 'CONSTANT' PRESSURE ON PAT ROBERTS: Senate Intelligence Committee chairman John Rockefeller (D-WV) said in an interview that Vice President Dick Cheney exerted "constant" pressure on the former chairman, Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS), to stall an investigation into the Bush administration's use of flawed intelligence on Iraq.
The so-called Phase II report on the administration's use of pre-war intelligence was delayed for over two years. Two of its five portions were finally released in Sept. 2006.
Rockefeller said that he knew that the Vice President attended regular policy meetings in which he conveyed White House directions to conservative Capitol Hill staffers. They "just had to go along with the administration," he said.
During the course of the Phase II investigation, Roberts made numerous contradictory statements, stating early on, "It is a priority. I made my commitment and it will get done." Later, he said it would be "a monumental waste of time to replow this ground any further."
In Nov. 2005, Roberts said the report would soon be released. But the former chairman delayed the release for nine more months before it was public.

I apologize is this comment seems off-topic, but I believe it is central to the topic.
Allen, have you noticed the political action and concern of our fellow mental health professionals, especially psychologists and psychiatrists. (We can always expect that, even clinical, social workers will be politically active. It's who they are.)
However, in my 30 years working in the field of mental health, I have never seen this kind of concern about the stability of a president and other members of his administration, openly expressed; almost like a felt, ethical, legal duty-to-warn.
I have colleagues, whom I have known for years, living abroad now. They saw the writing on the wall and decided to leave. I admit, I have given the idea of leaving considerable thought and have not ruled it completely out.
I have stayed mainly because I believe that dissent from within in more important right now.
This is, without a doubt, the most dangerous administration of my lifetime; maybe, in our history.
They are either too delusional, under the influece, or sociopathic to be anywhere near the halls of power. Why aren't more people, including news media types, asking serious questions about this very serious crisis.
I believe that we, the people, have a right to know if our president is bipolar and/or taking psychotropic drugs.
Why aren't our top elected officials required to have a mental health exam, as well as a physical, once a year.
It seems to me that, if people flipping burgers must submit to the piss-police, certainly people who make life and death decisions every day should have to as well.
Bush needs to be at a ranch, that's for sure; the Macadamia Ranch.
Cheney is so disintegrated, a student of abnormal psych 101 can see it. Is his heart medication making him psychotic or has he always been headed in that direction?
These questions should be asked, in public.
Even the citizens of the various 12 step programs know that doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result, is the very definition of insanity.
We have a national crisis, of potentially immense proportions. It is a mental illness crisis and it is effecting all of us from the top down.

While there is little doubt that W & Cheney have made solopscism [sic] a lifestyle, the avalanche of articles by credentialed mental health professionals diagnosing pathalogical behavior sans any face to face examinations is considered unprofessional & reckless by some. Lay off the psychobabble. It doesn't establish high crimes & misdomenors.
W & Cheney have been discredited. The task now is to remove them from office peacefully & proceed with a peaceful regime change.
