"Iniquity, committed in this world, produces not fruit immediately, but, like the earth, in due season, and advancing by little and little, it eradicates the man who committed it. ... justice, being destroyed, will destroy; being preserved, will preserve; it must never therefore be violated." Manu 1200 bc

Right from the beginning the Israel over-response to Lebanon has the same feel as our merciless bombing of Iraq with similar unneccessary deaths of innocent civilians.

Obviously, to me atleast, it had a Dick Cheney
( Darth Vader ) feeling about it to the extent that it was the same kind of shameless iniquity, or wickedness, that the Cheney/Rumsfeld juggernaut initially brought to Iraq ~ under the banner of Shock and Awe.

Imagine my non-surprise when I learned through the Wayne Madsen report ~ that on On June 17 and 18, former Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Likud Knesset member Natan Sharansky met with Vice President Dick Cheney at the American Enterprise Institute conference in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Obviously Lebanon was on the agenda and just as obviously Cheney gave the green light for Israel's present shameless iniquity of Shock and Awe in Lebanon ~ and in the process, we have created more hatred, more desire for revenge and more terrorists.

Here, once again, are the key players on the White House NEOCON DREAM TEAM ; Cheney is the decider, Rumsfeld is Cheney's military arm, Rice is Cheney's velvet glove, Bush is Cheney's oblivious cheerleader (who thinks he is the decider) and John Bolton is Cheney's bully and disruptive stooge at the U.N.

In other words, the most dangerous man in the world now is not George W Bush ~ it's Dick Cheney and his dark shadow has just fallen over Lebanon.

The report also confirms my strong feelings that Israel's attacks on Gaza and Lebanon are a prelude to a major confrontation with Syria and Iran, with full American backing, going into the November elections.

As the AP reports today, the vice president was in Florida Friday to stump for a Republican congressional candidate. Along the way, Cheney pointed to the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in the Middle East as a reason for keeping Republicans in control back in Washington.

"This conflict is a long way from over," Cheney said. "It's going to be a battle that will last for a very long time. It is absolutely essential that we stay the course."

Let us pray,

Allen L Roland
