" The only way to get more out of life is to choose less. Less stuff. Less activity. Less wanting more. . . May God give us the courage to choose less stress in order that we might experience more of the life he has planned for us:" Mark Tabb / Living With Less: The Upside of Downsizing Your Life

About every five to seven years I do a major downsizing of my possessions and I find it not only cleansing but exhilarating. Of course, the first rule of Feng Shui is to get rid of clutter ~ which is an energy drain.

Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of the arrangement of objects in your environment to improve the energy flow and, in particular, your peace of mind.

I find that selling art and furniture sometimes upsets my children, who were counting on a piece of art or furniture when I pass on, but I find the process of letting go of possessions incredibly freeing. A reaffirmation that the greatest possession is myself.

With that in mind I am announcing my giant garage sale which will take place on the weekend of March 3rd and 4th. I will be selling antiques, original art, furniture, mirrors, beautiful prints, clothes, plants ( indoor and outdoor ), bar stools, sleeping bags, Golf Clubs, lamps, bicycle and much more.

I am also selling two of my favorite original paintings and my 2001 Yamaha P22 piano ~ which I hardly use and, like a good instrument, should be played regularly.

I have photos of the Piano, a 1999 Julie Higgins Painting and original Catherine Anderson watercolor. Email me at allen@allenroland.com and I will email you the digital photos of all three. Telephone (707) 935-1908

Yamaha 2001 P22 45 inch professional upright piano and bench. Just recently tuned, mint condition, walnut finish ~ Serial # P22 240099 $2500.00 ( Negotiable )

29 X 37 Framed 1999 Julie Higgins original pastel " Fanny Feast " "One of Julie's favorites" $3000.00 ( negotiable )

30 x 21 Framed Catherine Anderson original "Turquoise Sky"
One of America's top watercolorists $4000.00 ( negotiable )

Of course, I'm also moving in the near future to a smaller location which adds some immediacy to my downsizing campaign. But my central point, strange as it may seem, is that I'm immensely enjoying selling many of my possessions because I honestly like the idea that someone else might enjoy these items as much as I have .
