opednews.com

OpEdNews is a non-partisan, progressive website happy to support progressives from any party. We've developed a new set of capabilities aimed at helping progressives all over the US and the world at a local level. Our goal is to put the unusual power of our content management system, which we've custom designed, at the service of local campaigns, grassroots organizations, activists and organizers-- to supplement the local resources and websites they already have.

All the articles we publish are spidered by google news, so people looking for local articles or specific issues find them on google news. While you have a website, your press releases, opeds and articles are not automatically picked up by google news, which only spiders 4500 news sites worldwide.

We have inside pages dedicated to most states and some counties and cities. Our intention is to create thousands of these to support local progressive activists, groups and candidates from all progressive parties. We are happy to create new ones for your location if there is interest.

If you 're interested, you can submit articles at www.opednews.com/member_submissions.htm Let me know if you need more locations listed.

This service is for news and op-eds, not strict press releases. You can submit press releases, but they must be written in article format, preferably with an author.

If you have any questions, don 't hesitate to drop me an email with your phone number.

(We really are non-partisan, having published greens and enlightened republicans and libertarians.)
