Recent events have prompted me to come clean regarding my honest political persuasion.
.
Within the past year I have been variously described as follows --
.
From a Democratic Party functionary, I am "a mole for the Republicans."
.
From a Republican spokesman, I am "a radical leftist, possibly a Communist."
.
From an avowed Communist, I am "a red-baiting reactionary."
.
Goodness, or badness if you will, that's one hell of a spectrum! And, would you believe it -- being by nature rather confident in my political positions -- until quite recently I had never realized there was an identity problem.
.
What are the symptoms that have elicited such diagnoses from these observers?
.
Well, one can only guess. Was the Democrat (heretofore my lifelong affiliation) disturbed by my criticism of his enunciated proposition that to "rush" action to end the Iraq War and to "push" impeachment of the war-liars could likely cost us votes"?
