Correlating the Sunnis to the United States Civil War...

The Sunni's would be the Southern States, in power because of Saddam's iron hand and enriched by the enslavement of the Kurds and the Shia.  Now that Saddam is gone, the Sunni's feel even more emboldened,  perhaps they like the old ways under Saddam and want to see them return.

The Sunni's can't say thanks to the United States for ridding the country of Saddam and his sons and the Sunni's can't wait to start over controlling their country and other religious groups. The Sunni's claim to not want Al Queda in their midst because of their indescriminate killing, yet show no thanks towards the U.S. for fighting Al Queda.

I wonder if Saddam must have really been afraid of the Sunni's and showered them with most of the country's wealth in exchange for the Sunni's tolerating Saddam and Sons staying in power.
