It's almost Halloween,Truthseekers, and the Neocon gobblins in DC are celebrating with a witch-hunt disguised as a Congressional hearing on the Affordable Care Act.

Just in time for Church Night! A good ol' fashioned inquisition!

The questioning of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sounded more like Salem, MA circa 1675 than Washington, DC 2013. If you heard some of the inane questions she faced from the assembled group of rich (mostly) male Republicans, she might as well be broken on the rack, or burned at the stake.

Yes, there are problems with the Obamacare website roll out. Just like there were with Raisin Brain's Medicare Part D (for Doughnut) initial website design. It all worked out, right? Can't say the same for Man-or-Monkey's foreign policy decisions, but I digress ....

The Sebelius interrogation ranged from irrelevant to insulting, from patronizing to pointless:

Rep. Ralph Hall (R/TX) asked if Sebelius was born in Kansas because he thinks he remembers her riding her tricycle -- in third grade. Whatever. (Sebelius is actually from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is the daughter of former Rep. John Gilligan, who served on this same Committee).

Rep. Corey Gardner (R/CO) repeatedly badgered and interrupted the Secretary by repeating the same question of why Sebelius doesn't opt into the program (she is not allowed to according to Federal Law). Then held up a poster of college students with a beer keg and asked if Sebelius approved of the poster. She explained that Colorado was a state-based marketplace and therefore was in charge of it's own ACA advertising; she had no right to approve it -- or not.

Rep. Gregg Harper (R/MS) hammered Sebelius with demands that she admit that President Obama is ultimately responsible for the technical glitches on the website. The Secretary repeatedly responds that it is her Department, not the President, who is to blame for any errors, but Harper, true to his name, is relentless.  Finally, after accepting total responsibility three times, Sebelius just replies "whatever."

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R/TN) also pushed Sebelius to rat out those responsible for the website issues. Sebelius finally admitted that Michelle Snyder, COO at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, played a key role in site development. So, "Michelle Snyder is the one responsible for this debacle?" Blackburn asked. Sebelius responded saying: "Excuse me, congresswoman, Michelle Snyder is not responsible for the debacle. Hold me accountable for the debacle. I'm responsible."

Wow. Just wow. And it went on and on. Wouldn't it have been a fine day in America if one of the Bush Crime Family Cabinet Member had accepted responsibility ... for anything?

It's a pre-Halloween Church Night, Truthseekers!  Going to be extra-spooky!

Kathy never expected a career in radio as a talk show producer. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Kathy was completing her nursing degree when in 2001 - in an emergency - she was asked to fill in as the producer of Mike's program. Within a few (more...)
