The Conservative Supreme Court of The United States has murdered Democracy as we know it.

I have been following the negative ramifications and horrible consequences of this horrible pro-corporate Conservative SCOTUS decision closely.

Keith Olbermann did an important segment about it last night on MSNBC, which I urge you to watch and forward on.

As the president attempts to reign in and restrict the greed and corruption of Wall Street, The U.S. Supreme Court ruled to rescue corporations not from financial ruin but from laws barring them from swaying elections. This could lead to the election of pro-corporate government. The Conservative court in a 5-4 ruling overturned two prior cases and undid a century of First Amendment doctrine, a monumentally divided court ruled that corporations, well, are just like people, too. Decades of election reform have been undermined.

No longer can those corporations be banned by Congress from spending whatever they wanted on advertisements for their own political candidates and agenda of greed. The negative consequences of this ruling are frightening and dire, giving corporations unlimited power to elect pro-corporate politicians. This horrific mistake could lead to criminalizing unions, reduction of taxes for the wealthy and corporations, stripping benefits and rights from Americans, new wars for profit, Bush doctrine codification, church as state theocracy, bans on gay rights and abortion, racial and religious profiling, Internet restrictions, manipulation of the "Tea Party" Conservatives to achieve these results, predatory banking, proliferation of corporate greed, and the corporate manipulation of every aspect of our lives. Conservative Judicial activist Justice Roberts has murdered Democracy and the Progressive movement as we know them, and we must fight back. I urge you to get angry and take action.
