The other day I sent people to read about how people are reacting to McCain's ad "The One." After that I decided to look around the web and see what is circulating about Obama. Well, these people are serious. I posted several links below so you can just go see for yourself. SOME parts of the religious right are serious about this idea that Obama is the "anti-Christ."
In my opinion, the McCain people simply have to know about the stuff that is circulating. If you read some of the stuff you realize that McCain's ad parallels it very closely. It says some of the very same things that the nuts are circulating. So if you are one of the nuts who believes this, you have received validation from the McCain campaign. There is no way around it that the ad is saying to the people receiving the anti-Christ rumors, "Hey, we're with you, we see it, too." It makes you wonder if McCain is trying to provoke the crazies into doing something to Obama.
So here is some of the stuff that is out there. Hold your nose, and be sure to read some of the comments at some of these sites.

This is the evidence: 1.- He will come as a man of Peace (Obama promises peace in Iraq, defeat for the US) 2.- He will come mounted on a white Female horse(Obama mother is white who had 6 African husbands) 3.- He will come to deceive( Obama says he's a Christian but in fact he was born a Muslim, practices the Islamic religion, prays Friday's facing Mecca) 4.- He will make himself the most powerful man on earth, if elected 5.- He will try to destroy the Jewish People and Israel( Obama has said he loves the Arabs specially the Palestinians, hates Israel and Jews. Admires Hitler, Osama etc) 6.- He will present himself as good and righteous but in fact he's Satan himself. Violence is in his heart 7.- Obama will help Al Qaida in its evil projects. 8.- Barack Hussein Obama is the "King of the South" predicted in the Bible.(Daniel .11, Kenya is south of Jerusalem) 9.- Obama comes to implant muslim Sharia Law upon America. Obama is the Anti-Christ, beware of him. Watch him and don't let you be deceived by Him. Supporters of Obama: 1.5 billion Muslims, Oprah, Louis Farrakanh, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and all American Muslims. OBAMA'S GAME IS DECEPTION AND VIOLENCE A VOTE FOR OBAMA IS A VOTE FOR OSAMA AND KILLER ISLAM!!
I'm not the first one to say it, but after recently reading the beginning of the Left Behind series and the entire Christ Clone trilogy, it's not totally wacky to compare Obama's rise and public adulation to that of the predicted Anti-Christ's (at least as described in those books).
According to The Book of Revelations, the anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal.... the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything ....
Is it OBAMA?? I STRONGLY URGE each one of you to repost this as many times as you can! Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend or media outlet...do it!

I am a bit confused about this anti christ stuff. Seems to me if these people want to get this life over with and be raptured they would be wanting the anti christ to get here as soon as he can. This is why most main stream religions are only money gathering machines. They feed the population with hate and are nothing but hipocrites.

Yeah, so there some nuts out in the blogosphere who believe this crap. A whole bunch of lefty nuts on the internet pull the same crap regarding President Bush, John McCain, and anybody else who is a conservative. This sewerreaches evrywhere.
Trying to tell me these ads reinforce this Obama-antichrist canard? How? By showing Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? Are they supposed to reference to Great Whore of Babylon or something along those lines? Sheesh!

So, what is next - are we going to pull out the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and claim Obama is a puppet of some Jewish cabal to take over the world?
And, we have been through this sort of thing before - aynone remember the Kennedy election? There were fundies who claimed that the US was being handed over to the Vatican, etc. etc. etc.

George Bush was elected because he claimed to be a "born again Christian"; but his actions show he is not a Christian at all (love your enemies).
He is also a deceiver. His con of the Congress and the American people regarding the Iraq involvement in 9/11 and weapons of mass destruction was a lie.
So, I think he is the Anti-Christ.

Iraq was unquestionably a terrorist-enabling state. Also, senators and previous presidents were utterly convinced that Saddam had WMD's. You can argue all day long about the Iraq War being justified or not, but this whole Bush-lied story is, well, a lie.
Besides, we are now back to into this line of thinking of "The political leader that I didn't/won't vote for is the antichrist." Idiotic. Useless. Childish.

''Iraq was unquestionably a terrorist-enabling state.''
This is unquestionable only for people who confuse shias and sunnis, and don't see any problem with Al Qaida backing a relatively secular leader branded as a ''bad Muslim'' like Saddam Hussein.
If Al Qaida was interested in Iraq, it was to undermine Saddam Hussein and push their pawns in the area, with the long term goal of installing a fundamentalist regime in his place--and that fact was recognized by most European intelligence, except the Brits, who were aware of the situation but did not want to oppose Bush's version .
As long as people in the US--and their leaders-- are abysmally ignorant about the intricacies of Islam and the Middle east, I don't see how the situation there can improve.

Can anyone show us where Islam, Mohammedanism, or even Mohammed is mentioned in Revelation or anywhere else in the Standard Bible? Or where any of these can be construed to be mentioned by using some sort of oblique reference (such as, an eagle representing America, for example--- these agitated crystal-ball gazers like Nostradamus and the writer(s) of Revelations always use circumlocutions)? It is impossible for Islam to be mentioned in Revelations or the Bible inasmuch as Islam was founded over 600 years after the time of Christ, and some 400 years after the final choices were made as to which books to include in the Christian Bible. I suspect the authors of these Anti-Christ missives are so excitable they are the kind who spray you with spittle as they lean into your face, shouting sincerely. They are to be pitied in their perpetual unease and dyspepsia.
