Re: Government Accountability/STOP AG MUSKASEY!

Dear Messrs. Neukon and Jarrett:

As a member of the public, it is my understanding that Attorney General Muskasey represents the legal interests of not only me, but all citizens in the United States of America.   AG Muskasey is licensed to practice law in the U.S., has taken an oath to act on behalf of the general public and was appointed by President Bush.

CONCERNS:  As a non-attorney, AG Muskasey cannot possibly represent the general public, while also acting as legal counsel to President Bush, Vice President Cheney and Karl Rove as it relates to refusals to honor a federal subpoena in the Valerie Plame investigation.  Please refer to American Bar Association Rule 1.9 (Duties to Former Clients) and Rules 1.11 (Special Conflicts Of Interest For Former And Current Government Officers And Employees), which Mr. Muskasey continues to violate while acting as a public servant and legal counsel to President Bush, Vice President Cheney and Karl Rove.

Based on public information available at www.abanet.org, H. Marshal Jarrett, Esq., Office of Professional Responsibility at the U.S. Department of Justice, is responsible for investigating complaints against members of the ABA.  However, how can Mr. Jarrett possibly investigate wrongdoing against his own boss, Attorney General Michael Muskasey, without violating multiple legal conflict of interest statutes and civil rights of American citizens?  This too makes absolutely no sense.

For the reasons herein, I am also sending this letter to the President of the American Bar Association, William H. Neukon, Esq., with a formal request that he take immediate corrective action in this serious legal conflict of interest.  As adults, we cannot continue to show children, future leaders of the world, that some are above the law and yet others, are held accountability in courts of law.

PLEASE STOP AG MICHAEL MUSKASEY!!!

Respectfully,

Debby Bodkin, Founder
