Martin Luther King Jr., civil rights leaders and African-Americans (along with many allies who were not African-American) marched for civil rights. The Tea Partiers or followers of Beck view themselves as members of a civil rights movement. Yet, they did not march on Washington last weekend. Instead, they sat in their lawnchairs that they probably just got on sale at Wal-Mart days before the event.
