Chris Christie Calls Obama Weak, Says HE Would Shoot Down Russian Planes Over Syria.
Chris Christie called President Obama a weakling.
The NY Times reports,
"My first phone call would be to Vladimir, and I'd say, 'Listen, we're enforcing this no-fly zone,'" Mr. Christie said on MSNBC. "And I mean we're enforcing it against anyone, including you. So don't try me. Don't try me. Because I'll do it."
Mr. Christie went on to say that Mr. Putin was "punching above his weight" and called Mr. Obama "this weakling in the White House."
Christie is pretty typical of the GOP slate for 2016, callously showing toughness by their willingness to send our nation and our troops into new wars, or willingness to take away financial stability and support from the weakest and most vulnerable.
It's reasonable to expect that a presidential candidate be tough. But willingness to go to war seems like an archaic, patriarchal, childish, bullying, neocon, chickenshit top down way to prove strength.
The best way to prove you are tough is through your past actions-- your track record. Truly tough people don't have to threaten with hard power, ie., violence or monetary. They demonstrate strength combined with wisdom, courage and compassion.
So, how would you say Bernie Sanders has proven his toughness? How do you think he should show he is tougher than the GOP members of the shortpenisgunclub, like Christy. How do believe Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden will show their toughness.
How would describe the ingredients that go into toughness.
Who have they stood up to? How did they handle it? Was it a confrontation or a measured negotiation? How was it resolved. Who has Bernie, Hillary, Joe stood up for?
I'm really hoping OEN community will come up with some great answers here.
