When Lou Dobbs recently called for the impeachment of George W. Bush, he became only the latest in a growing number of Right-Wingers who are harshly criticizing the White House these days. Dobbs joined Conservatives like Pat Buchanan and Chuck Hagel in slamming Bush and raising the prospect of impeachment.
In fact, when Rep. Dennis Kucinich recently introduced articles of impeachment against Bush, no less than 24 Republicans joined Democrats in voting for an impeachment inquiry to begin.
And on June 21, no less a Conservative figure than Paul Craig Roberts, the "Father of Reaganomics," bitterly blasted the Bush Administration, calling it one of the most "lawless regimes" of the 21st Century. Last year, Roberts (who in 2006 called Bush supporters "Brownshirts") urged the immediate impeachment of Bush and Cheney.
Note that we're not talking about Noam Chomsky or Ward Churchill here. We're talking about Roberts (a man who served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration).
These days, the growing chorus of Right-Wingers calling for Bush's impeachment range from articulate writers like Roberts all the way over to Right-Wing radio hate spewers like Michael Savage.
With all these Conservatives raising the issue of impeachment, it's all the more baffling as to why Nancy Pelosi continues to insist that "impeachment is off the table."
Not only that, but the Democrats continue to be bullied by a deeply unpopular president who has approval ratings that are in the toilet. Just in the past week, the Dems meekly caved in on FISA, as well as the massive, no-strings war-funding bill.
When former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan recently added his voice to the anti-Bush chorus, the White House quickly sought to portray him as a lone disgruntled employee, with an ax to grind.
What they didn't address, though, was why so many Right-Wingers are now criticizing Bush in the harshest possible language these days. One thing that is certain, though, is that if the shoe was on the other foot, does anyone think that GOP would hesitate one second in launching impeachment proceedings?

For GOP to support Impeach, Dems must call for hearings
Many in the GOP are very upset at what Bush and Cheney have done to their party and would love to see impeachment hearings held.
Many of the most reliable protesters at our impeachment vigils in Denver have been Republicans.
However, no Republican Congressmen will be the first voice calling for impeachment hearings as they would probably end their career in the GOP at that moment.
Not so for Democratic Congressmen. The voters in their Districts will re-elect them forever if they just stand up to Cheney and Bush. If they don't, I fear a serious backlash in November.
Many House Republicans will sign on to impeachment if only the House Democrats will start hearings. Both they and the Liberal Base of the Democratic Party need the House Dems to lead on this now.

PS: Somebody tell Rep. Udall he'll look more like a Republican if he supports impeachment... since he's trying to hard to look like a Republican he may go for it.
Actually I think any US Congressman who refuses to honor his oath to protect the Constitution Should Resign.

What other data do you have to offer concerning the "Right-winger" interest in Bushco accountability? I grant you your points, surely. But they don't add up to some significant move of sentiment. Where are the pollsters when we need them?
I'm convinced that "write-in" campaigns against Congressional incumbents are warranted.

bush and cheney will resign to placate shifting geopolitical factions who have struck a deal with elite members of Illuminati and Bilderbergs who will be allowed to complete their plan of a fascist dictatorship in exchange of not being prosecuted for their plans of attempted genocide.

The Republicans are as fed up with the Bush administration as the rest of us. Pelosi will get the votes that she thinks we may not have for impeachment. Someone needs to ask her what's holding her up - or she should resign.
We WANT Accountability - No One is Above the Law.
Congressional Democrats - get A Backbone.

Pelosi's actions are not "baffling," the Dems are not being
"bullied," & the Dems did not "cave in" on FISA. Rather, the Dems went along with these policies because they agree with them.
And Pelosi protects Bush & Cheney because her class interests are the same as theirs. Her worst nightmare is not a lawless US government that violates the Constitution with impunity; but rather any serious challenge to the political & economic interests of the American ruling class, of which she is a member in good standing. She understands correctly that putting Bush on trial for treason & war crimes would expose the complete complicity of her own party, and would risk unleashing a tidal wave of public fury, completely discrediting the ruling institutions of US politics.
She also understands that if she continues to block impeachment, neither she, her party nor her social class will pay any price for it. The worst risk for her if she follows that course is that there will be some angry bloggers on liberal web sites. So from her point of view, the smart thing to do is exactly what she's doing (or not doing).

THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER VIEW OF THE PRECIPITOUS FALL
The dollar has once again collapsed. Get ready for the next dollar debacle and the coming rally in gold and silver which have just broken out. The elitists have lost all credibility. The would-be lords of the universe have told so many pathological lies that no one "in the know" believes anything emanating from the forked tongues of Buck-Busting, Bear-Bashing, Big-Ben Bernanke and Hanky Panky Paulson. If our Fed Head and Treasury Secretary had been characters in the Walt Disney movie entitled "Pinocchio," their noses would have quickly grown to lengths that could have been wrapped around the earth's equator several times. God would have had to reverse the earth's rotation to extricate them.

has almost come to pass. As the Dems move toward the repubs and the repubs pull the Dems closer to their ideas, we will soon be a regime that is One Country party oriented as is in Vietnam(which we installed).
Bruce Fein is one of the first conservative repubs that I heard speak out on impeachment. He even wrote a play and I am not sure how it did at the theatre. It's an eye opener and as he served under Reagan, he has reliability with other repubs.
It appears that both parties have split in 2, and now we need to strengthen those offspring parties.
Pelosi? well I hope Cindy Sheehan beats the pants off her as an Independent candidate. DLC=neocon or aka, neoliberal. Nancy is no agent of the constitution and that is for damn sure.
With this latest vote on FISA, they all make me sick!!!!

ACLU dead set AGAINST Impeach, But NLG 100% for it
The ACLU is more worried about their image and donations forthcoming than protecting the Constitution. Except for a few gutsy State Chapters (So. Calif and one or two in SE) they are against even holding impeachment hearings to get at the truth.
Wonder what kind of deal has been made?

"The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principles, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be master and become the servant of humanity". click here
